Welcome to the 22nd chapter of the monthly Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics.
This month we present what can be described as the current 'collected works' by Jeremy Clarke and his collaboration with SVSh.  A gorgeous long player, taking us on a journey through a mystical landscape.  It is indeed the landscape of the 'everyday', but not as we know it.  It is, however, a landscape as we could know it, if we gave it our full attention.

As Jeremy has previously stated, 'In our blinkered, urban hurrying, we've stopped attending - to anything that is outside of our own 'purpose'.  What doesn't serve us, doesn't matter.  When we lose sight of the small details, of the incidental, we risk losing a sense of the sacred.  And in so doing, risk losing ourselves.
There is a quiet, meticulous, fragile world that coexists with our own dailiness.  We need to look and listen for it.  It is offering us something - about itself, about us.'

James crafts gentle ambient music with an emphasis on field recordings, using music creation as a sonic journal influenced by time and place. As an artist, James has released his own music on Whitelabrecs, Shimmering Moods Records, Rusted Tone Recordings and Flaming Pines, amongst others. James also runs Elm Records (https://soundcloud.com/elm-records), a label specialising in organic ambience, with releases by the likes of Sound Awakener, Poemme, and Gallery Six.

Private Mountain's third long-form release СТРАТУМИ (STRATUMI or STRATUMS in Cyrillic) uses the metaphor of geological strata to meditate on the different aspects of reality, their relationships and tectonic confrontations. Political, Economic, Cultural, Mental, Morphogenetic, Libidinal strata are the constituents of what the personal and social realities are. Now is the time to stop taking it for granted, to come out of the philosophical cave and learn personal and social responsibility, solidarity, communication and collaboration especially in these troubling times of capitalism pandemic accelerating beyond our ordinary powers of comprehension. 

After 'Dark political stratum', slightly noisier and experimental release (which development came out as an outtake of this material), on 'СТРАТУМИ' they return to more subtle plateaus, combining field recordings, drone and ambient sound, this time supported by the piano and synth of the drone superstars Carlo Giustini and Robert Farrugia!

Private Mountain is audio and visual project of Dimitar Dodovski and Toni Dimitrov releasing their debut album 'Blue Mountain' on UK label Neotantra (curated by Lee Anthony Norris). It is a project about their shared fascination with nature, art, philosophy and many discussions about the past and future of ambient music, that resulted with a beautiful introspective album, a complex blend of field recordings, drone and ambient sound that captivates fans of this genre with its emotional impact and subtle nostalgia (and that entered the bandcamp chart of ambient bestsellers and received many great reviews). The second album 'Dark Political Stratum' (published on Élan Vital Recordings) is a conceptual album that refers to the global geopolitical changes and turbulence at the beginning of the 21 century. Produced in Macedonia, a center of the global geostrategic clashes of the superpowers, it is a sound statement to these global political shifts, observed through the local prism.

About Seramind [Germany] :

I am Elias Epp, musician and software engineer from Ulm (Germany). Seramind is my music project. Born 1989 in a sovkhoz in Kazakhstan and raised in southern parts of Germany.

Most of my stuff is Dub Techno / Ambient Techno or just pure Ambient. Working mostly with FL Studio and Audacity. Lots of obfuscation via stretching, cuts and effects.

Got into Techno music around 1999 with early Euro Dance and Trance (Aquagen, Cosmic Gate, Future Breeze, DJ Quicksilver, everything played on Club Rotation or Sunshine Live, really ...), later more Dutch oriented Trance music (Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Airwave etc.) and Ambient (Banco De Gaia, Xerxes, Cell, Shulman, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Ishq, Solar Fields, etc.), later more Progressive House (Bedrock, Sasha, Chable, Hernán Cattáneo, Taucher, LoQuai, Mistique Music), experimenting alongside with FL Studio and a minimal repertoire of synths and sounds, nothing too serious. After discovering Dub Techno and Ambient Techno (Warmth, Mr. Cloudy, Cio D'Or, DeepChord, aspect., Textural Being) started a more serious approach of producing.
