Portuguese artist Delectatio is a new signing to Silk Sofa. His EP, "Sunrise", features four unique and unforgettable downtempo cuts.

"Numinous" starts with intriguing guitar riffs and enjoyable melodies on top. Soon, intricate percussion elements as well as hypnotizing vocal stems emerge, while the delightful theme melody continues to liven up the soundscape. A blissful guitar line and soothing percussion elements introduce "Be Free". Fascinating vocal stems are added later, thereby adding an extra layer of delicate and refreshing textures. "Remember" begins with a stunning atmosphere, including a number of lush synths and an intricate bassline. A mesmerizing arpeggio melody emerges later, and numerous sound effects continuously spice up the soundscape. The final song in this package is "Latibule". Beautiful melodies are quickly established, and multiple new layers are added on top, as the song progresses. The soothing breakbeat comforts the listener even further.

Thom Monn hatte ich im Dezember schon mit einem grandiosen Ambient-Special zu Gast bei sound(ge)cloud. Wie damals bereits erwähnt hat Thom zwei Vorlieben … die eine ist Ambient und die andere ist die Paradedisziplin Warm-Up. Keiner beherrscht es besser mit seinem Sound die Party zu beginnen und die Gäste mit seinem „entspannt-popowackeln-in-den-sonnenuntergang“ Sound auf den Dancefloor zu locken.

Hey Thom vielen lieben Dank das du so spontan eingesprungen bist und das dann auch noch mit so einem fantastischen und freshen Set.

For meditation purposes, Sunken is specifically focused on the Sacred Chakra. The structuring and coordination of the sounds within aim to enable smooth transitions between the levels of consciousness, thus enhance and catalyze the meditation experience.

This month’s guest mix in Sofa Beats series was recorded by AYO.

AYO’s sound is taking you on a journey into a world of dreamy soundscapes, drone subs, small creaky details, long evolving pads and slow beats. Through scandinavian forests, white mountains and northern lights into a world where we communicate and connect without words.
By sampling sitars-violins-cellos, modulating FM synths, incorporating field recordings and playing around with raw data and noise, AYO attempts to create a timeless bubble of calm atmospheric sounds, that gently yet persistently makes ones mind and body drift towards a fundamental earthly connection.
AYO is the solo project of Julie Schønherr Rosengreen. Julie has been playing the violin as a kid both playing classical and a bit of folk music, but also composing her own and playing around with different combinations of melodies. As she grew older she began appreciating electronic music and later on started composing her own tunes.

Not long after she startet producing, she got her first festival gig in Denmark and have since then been active in the Danish chill scene, playing at festivals like Senpati, Sensun, Shiva Spirit and multiple events. Abroad she has played in countries like Nepal, Morocco, Germany, Spain, Lithuania etc. This includes festivals such as Freqs of Nature, Transition festival and Gaia gathering.
Currently she is studying for her bachelor in Sound Design at Sonic College in Denmark. But earlier she has also been doing electronic music and VJ courses at Frontsession in Aarhus and Engelsholm College for Arts and Music.

At First I was going to name this piece scream out loud ... Because that is indeed what I have felt like doing.  But then I realized Gina you dumb bunny your in grief . Frustration yes, denial yes, bargaining yes, and so forth ,you get the Idea.   Some of you may not like this and that's ok. Sometimes Reality Just smacks you in the face. Wake up  tell your loved ones that you love them .. Please.   These are indeed difficult days ahead.
