Inspired by the techno sound of Frankfurt in the early 90s (Harthouse, Eye Q etc.) and the many good parties, Reitzklang started djing techno and trance in 1994. Later, he focused on psychedelic trance. For the last 20 years he has concentrated on techno, progressive house and dub techno. Quadrant Soundscape are Tommy Harrison aka Asphalt Layer and Wilson Logan from Manchester UK. Together, they are the minds behind Dub Explorations, which is a podcast and also a club night. The podcast itself is approaching 100 shows, most 3 hours in length which is an insight into the dedication they have for hunting great ambient, deep and dubby music to showcase and push forward. We sat down with Tommy and had a chat about the podcast and their parties.

"Deep, tunnelling, morphing, trippy techno. Some call it trance and I'm not ashamed of my cherished memories of wondrous nights from decades ago, getting lost amongst the authentic spaces of the genre. Those influences on my tastes remain but the emphasis here is on contemporary producers and labels channeling those same energies and emotions. I had fun leaning on the pitch hard.... finally a chance to fit in a Daniel[i] and a Rod Modell from the franticlly charged Captagon LP. Good luck with the mix, not sure i'd have the legs to loon around at 140 BPM's any more"

The Quadrasphere 003 - Andy Green

The seventh release in the Secondary Series, Primary Colours
welcomes all around deep and dub master from Scotland Stillhead. We ﬁrst came to know of Alex in the early 2000’s and have followed his music under several monikers ever since.

Stillhead offers us three  orginal cuts for this six track EP with remix support from the one and only Mike Schommer and label heads Echo Inspectors plus a beatless rework of Recreation Beats.

This release seamlessly blurs genre lines, merging dub-techno with elements of bass, downtempo, deep-house, and ambient inﬂuences. The result is a release that feels familiar yet enigmatic, while simultaneously forging a unique and attractive fusion of styles. 

Stillhead is a master of his craft, and we are very pleased to bring this release to life with a heavy-weight 12” press and availability on digital outlets.

Truss [Minimal Groove Concept]

The young talent has a vibrant catalogue showcasing the variety of his output. He is equally at home with melodic techno, acid and broken beats, such as on his releases ‘Teriyaki Donut’ and ‘Telepathic Seduction’ on James Zabiela’s Born Electric imprint. Last year he joined Sasha’s Last Night On Earth roster with the uplifting yet groovy ‘Marlon Brando’ EP.

Headed up by ascending, London based artist Jody Barr, Portable Minds is an independent imprint that aims to operate outside of the constraints of close-mindedness. The intention set by Barr is for the platform to allow both himself and his peers to express themselves freely without having to compromise their productions and the output will predominantly take the shape of single-artist EPs that showcase the more daring and unique facets of participants studio skills.
