The 54th instalment in our FWP series arrives from Dublin based DJ and Producer, Mode_1. He has held residencies at Subject Dublin, District 8, Index and featured regularly at festivals such as Life Festival, Electric Picnic and Boxed Off. 

Having been resident at Subject for the past 6 years has seen him share the booth with some of the best in the industry, playing alongside the likes of  Ben Klock, Robert Hood, Dave Clarke and DVS1, even appearing on Ben Klocks infamous Photon event in Dublin.

At the start of 2018 he had one his tracks “OÍche” featured on Berghain resident Fiedel’s Double Mixpack EP named Appendix, which also had tracks  featured from Jay Clarke, Ron Albrecht, Noncompliant and Philippe Petit. 

In January 2019 he contributed his track “Twenty7”, alongside producers Tinfoil, Hybrasil and Moduse to commemorate the closure of the infamous District 8. 
March of that year saw the release of his debut E.P “Final Approach” on French label Knotweed. Later in the year his track “Return” featured on Fiedel’s new label Super Sound Tools. 

2020 has seen Mode_1 back on Knotweed with his EP “Mainframe”  and on Fiedel’s label FiedelTwo with ‘4x4 Series Pt1’ EP.  In May he was featured on Truncate’s ‘Missing’ remix compilation, which gained support from Rodhad, Slam and DVS1

July saw him release on esteemed label, Naked Lunch Records with his Pusher EP as well as his feature on the legendary Slam Radio.

The vastness of the Universe, the human soul and the dissolution of time are interconnected subjects and topics of countless fables and myths, all derived from human fascination with the infinite abyss of the cosmos and the unknown. Electronic music is a tool with which we enhance these imaginary landscapes and it thrives in the prurient and inquisitive mind. Nørbak’s “Flor do Fatalismo” is designed as a transposition of a deep human feeling into music: the longing. A paradox between the void and our necessity to belong. Each track in this body of work happens in a hypothetical scenery and stands on its own as if questioning our coherence, spirituality and the sovereignty of the human mind. Penetrating, spell-binding, unrestrained but eventually earthly and familiar, the abstract character of Artur’s music invites ingenuity and artistry from both the performers and the crowd.

Heading up his own Room Trax label the young producer has slowing been making his way through the ranks with his tough yet refined and hypnotic sound. This well crafted EP is also backed with a stunning remix from the incredibly talented, Nørbak.

Title track, Divergence opens with warping baselines, tripped out synths and jacked up percussion. Slow Motion heads down a deeper more contemplative path but still packs attitude. Break Your Chains continues with the hypnotic theme but focuses firmly on power and drive. Closing out the EP, Techno’s latest rising star, Nørbak, deliver a creatively unique, broken-beat and atmospheric interpretation of title track Divergence.  with the Divergence EP. 3AM based in Tbilisi, emerged in 2020, is a result of expressing a hidden personality which can communicate only through music and be open when mixing deep, energetic, as well as mysterious sounds. She is a proof of an idea, that no matter what you do in your life, what profession you may have, you are still capable to be artistic, creative and dare to touch music in most intimate way. Inspired by various foreign and Georgian artists, 3AM is trying to remain genuine and create connection with the people, giving them emotions and feelings which are product of personality development process.

"The title of the mix would be Rupture, which derived from the medical term meaning an instance where something bursts or suddenly breaks. The mix resembles the process of transformation from mentally or physically healthy condition to a rupture, which is sudden, painful and hard to understand. The initial part of the mix flows calmly, as if nothing may go wrong, but it moves towards a final rupture. Very emotional set, expressing deep inner thoughts. " - 3AM
