As we head deeper into the winter months, Déepalma keeps the heat coming with another club-geared release from The Ger-Man, including a remix from Romanian talent Andre Rizo.

The release opens with Andre Rizo’s remix of ‘King Pin’; driven by punchy drum work and rhythmic sub-bass, its terrace-style tech flavours serve up rich low-frequencies and layers of percussive flair. A nostalgic west coast inspired synth line features prominently throughout the track, marrying up perfectly with a gangster vocal.

The Ger-Man’s original cut of ‘King Pin’ follows, pushing an upbeat, big-room feel. Pulsating four to the floor beats meet sizzling hat sequences and a bright, catchy bassline - complimented by that standout synth and vocal combo once again. It brings vivacious energy from start to finish, made for high-energy club environments and wanting dance floors.

The EP closes with more dance-invoking magic via ‘Right Here’. Heavyset kicks build the base of its weighty house groove structure, complemented by synth stabs, strings, tonal risers and much more. Another rhythmic sub-bass throbs through the heart of the track, keeping your feet moving in time with the track’s beating journey.

Next up on Déepalma Records, Australian duo Cup & String make their label debut with a double serving of indulgent Deep House flavours on ‘Come Back / So True’.

Cup & String was an idea between two mates in 2015 who share two decades of friendship. Since then, Ross & Lukasz have released on a wave of respectable imprints and received regular plaudits for their unique blend of House & UKG sounds from some of the biggest names in the industry.

Kicking off the release, ‘Come Back’ jumps straight into a firm body of 4/4 drums and crisp percussion. Very much a club-geared Deep House track, a hotbed of harmonic components rife with emotion collide perfectly with a sultry female vocal lead to create a gripping allure. A record built on rising energy and crowning moments, perfect for warming those winter dancefloors!

The release ends with ‘So True’, another main room primed melodic cut with an overflowing sentiment. Clean cut kicks and sizzling hat sequences pierce through the heart of the record, whilst a concoction of deepened synths and pads pulsate from end to end. Another striking vocal ties everything together, completing an undeniably rich and captivating club track.

Cup & String’s ‘Come Back / So True’ is out on 4th February 2022 on Déepalma Records.

Swiss producer Robin Hassler returns to Déepalma alongside Peer Kusiv and FREYA on remix duties for ‘For You / By Your Side’.

First appearing on Déepalma in 2020 via the label's ‘Winter Moods’ compilation, Swiss native Robin Hassler returns for his full label debut with Peer Kusiv and FREYA delivering signature remixes.

The release opens on ‘For You’, riding punchy beats and uplifting harmonics from the outset. A rolling 4/4 groove steers the track forwards through a myriad of emotive tones and sweeping bass notes, whilst the track’s introspective vocal topline adds endless character to the mix throughout.

Peer Kusiv’s remix of ‘For You’ then sees the track take on new form, as the Kiel native puts on a spirited melodic masterclass. Intensifying sonics and marauding rhythms glide in and out of huge atmospheric soundscapes and suspenseful transitions. This one is huge.

FREYA comes next with her remix of ‘For You’, turning in a bordering on Techno rendition of the original mix with heaps of character and dancefloor appeal. Monumental sound design comes into play early on, bleeding into vast reverberated spaces within the mix as it ebbs and flows through a pulsating bed of driving rhythms and interplanetary musicality.

‘By Your Side’ closes out the release, bringing more melodic-focused upbeat vibes. Blending weighty kicks, tonal percs and racy hat grooves with roughened bass stabs and resonant synth lines, the track’s driving energy and modulating resonance make for an enjoyable contrast of roughness and finesse from start to finish.
