Inhmost is one of the monikers of S.Huxtable who wanted a representation for the more ambient and downtempo works that he creates which would allow the freedom of expression within these genres, deep space atmospheres and otherworldly soundscapes are the order of the day.

Situated in the South West of England the local area provides the backdrop for inspiration with the coast and countryside allowing an escape into the wild for moments of reflection.

Inhmost has solo album releases with Stasis Recordings, RE:ST, La Luna, Huinali, Captured Visions, Short Trips and Tonights Dream Records as well as collaborating with ASC on projects for Auxiliary.

About:

After 20years of DJing for mainly personal enjoyment, more recently Chris transitioned from techno / house to curating mixes in the ambient genre after his relatively recent foray into deep listening through meditation. This mix takes inspiration from his frequent runs / hikes around the south of England & in Scotland where the music is a key component of the experience. He's been a fan of the ambient genre for many years & this mix reflects the music that contributes towards the atmosphere of being in special places, usually very early in the morning, but equally is suited to deep listening sessions where he hopes the music can create a journey that takes the listener through a journey of textures, melodies & emotions with frequencies that can help contribute towards a state of deep relaxation.

Inhmost aka Simon Huxtable ( Aural Imbalance) has been writing and creating atmospheric music since 1997, creating deep emotive tracks across many electronic music genres including drum & bass and spacey house / progressive. 

But Inhmost is his project to create meditative ambient music. Having the experience to create atmosphere in his DnB music and his progressive background, his ambient brings it to the next level.

Ambient music seems to be fascinated by nature, oceans and the sky. For this KapTep release I wanted to explore the sky and more importantly all we can’t see, the millions of signals and mysteries that it hides.

I wanted to leave room for the songs to breathe and allow plenty of open spaces within them. At times these compositions may seem empty, that is by design. Although the current environment is to pick a track or two add them to your playlist.

I hope you will spend 49 minutes and listen to this as a body of work, as it was recorded to be listened to in one continuous sitting. In addition to the 6 original tracks there are two wonderful remixes added by Arrival In Eden, and Sacred Seeds.

Numbers Station – I’ve always been fascinated with them. The mystery and intrigue.

Naming the Sky – Melancholy drifting and not a care in the world.

LA Scanner – I simply love the voyeur nature of a cheap scanner.

Cold Luck Moon – Blurred images, sounds and emotions. Plus, three words that don’t mean anything together as a title.

I Need Light – In a world of conflict, doom scrolling and fear… I need light. In fact, I think we all do.

One Hundred Miles Until Sunrise – Have you ever driven somewhere and not remembered a second of it? Totally sober, auto-pilot. This is your soundtrack.

if only once belongs to a new collection of works that explores memory in attics, dusty mirrors, and half-drawn windows.   Fragments from life pass along with snippets of half-remembered tunes played on the piano.   It's still taking shape - but it certainly indicates a direction.

Along the way the DeepWarmth alias sprung up for his stuff with Beats including more experimental stuff concering Drone infused beatwork. Now making music as DeepWarmth and James Shain for all Ambient, he strives to showcase his love for Ambient. Aside from being an artist, he runs the Electronic Music label Cold Fiction Music and the Ambient label Moody Drones with fellow artist Sage Taylor.

Hidekazu Imashige aka Gallery Six is an artist and composer who is based on Miyoshi Hiroshima, Japan.
Based on his theme “Multidirectionally considering aesthetics which are very familiar, often forgotten, concealed in nature or events, and finally reveal them”, he has been making ‘sound sketches’ mixing drone sounds mainly created from synthesizer and materials field-recorded when he goes wherever
his heart leads.

Campfire Stories 68 (Passage Through Tomorrow) by Brendon Moeller

Coppice Halifax ~ Deepwoods Mixture + BWV-UE0001 [1.6]

Deepwoods Mixture is a Coppice Halifax "DJ set" performed live in studio at the White Pillar Workshop in February 2020 using a minimal configuration of hardware (Akai S2800, Boss RC20, Moog MF-101, Korg MS-20, Grass S10CTCMA, Pioneer SR202W) and software/automation (FL Studio 20) routed through the veins of an Optimus SSM-1750 mixing board. It adapts and reconstitutes specific sections of six previously issued longform CH recordings into a new and seamless listening experience, set over subtle field recordings conducted in the overgrown ravine behind the Workshop. Intended for both low-level, intimate bedroom playback as well as hi-fi presence on loudspeaker/club systems, Deepwoods Mixture has been fashioned as an invitation to the Analog Botany of Coppice Halifax for newcomers and seasoned visitors alike.

Following the Deepwoods Mixture is a new hour-long recording, premiering on Deep Breakfast, for/from a series of works titled 'Halifaxian Cantos'. As the title might imply, these pieces represent the wordless prose of the Halifaxian continent, intimate and minimalistic devotionals sung to the seasons, the sea and the stars beyond them. Coppice Halifax has long maintained an ethos of acting as Aquarius the water-bearer, bringing forth decorative vessels of elemental splendor for both sustenance and reflection, and these cantos have taken shape via this same approach, using a near-generative process that deifies and transmutes orchestral provenance into the almost infinite. A microcosmic study in ambient techno, drone music and process-driven synthesis, Halifaxian Cantos further explore and christen the unmapped lands of the Halifaxian landscape, offering a recorded output that is both tranquil and evocative in their wake. Longtime CH listeners will appreciate noticeable references to Verdant Acre, Reflector, Ferrolog, Dripping Earth and the now-numerous Arborist's Excavations in these works.

The goal of the Inhmost sound is to blend deep atmospheric feelings and organic nature that combine into a dreamlike state of mind that come straight from the heart.  The intention is that whilst listening to the music the listener is transported to calmer places of beauty and of light and shade.

Inhmost 는 앰비언트와 다운템포의 장르적 범주에서 자유로운 표현을 지향하는 S.Huxtable 의 또 다른 이름이다. Inhmost 사운드의 목적은 깊은 대기적 감정들과 유기적 자연을 섞어내어 마음에서 우러나오는 꿈과도 같은 정신으로 결합하는 것이다. 
그 의도는 음악을 듣는동안 청자들이 아름다움, 그리고 빛과 어둠의 고요한 공간으로 이동하기를 위한 것이다.
