Matthias Kunze had his first brush with house music a long time ago, in his hometown Halle (Saale). Together with his friends, he performed in several off-locations and started to gain interest in DJing. Currently he resides in Hamburg and plays clubs and festivals throughout Germany. 
 
The main source of his inspiration is Klangextase, a German podcast station he founded more than a decade ago. Through the years, Matthias has invited a lot of skilled artists across the world to share their music on the platform. In 2018, he went from local to global and ventured out to South Africa where he has played in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Matthias’ sound describes as deep, sometimes melancholic, combined with subtle highlights and a kicking beat, which makes everyone move. His musical journeys are always good for a surprise and leave the audience with a feeling of joy.

K + E met on a summer day in the marshes of East London, and became friends over their shared love of aubergines. Kim makes visceral abstract paintings and video installations, while Ely is doing a PhD in linguistics. Recently they embarked on a sonic journey together, selecting musical ingredients from around the world, slow-cook sounds and deep groovy rhythms.
For this specially prepared mix for Zolotaya Orda, they have focused on the visual elements of sound, exploring textures and details on a journey down the rabbit hole.

Ignorance is Bliss consists of 5 tracks with different styles and tempos. The idea for creating my very first EP occurred to me when listening to a conversation between Barack Obama and David Attenborough. 

They are talking about the beauty of nature and the importance of human beings being aware of protecting it. Young children have a strong connection with nature, after playing outside in the sun carefree they will at some point realise the potential danger of climate change. When creating this EP, I have sought for a sound that reflects the contrast between threat and hope.

Stepping out into the Indie Electronic limelight, Montreal’s @HOKImusic release their debut single ‘Almost Home’. The collaborative project fuses Varti Deuchoghlian’s diverse experiences as a producer with Australian vocalist Brent McCormick’s powerful songwriting. He’s had support from dutch pioneer, Dimitri Kneelers, and collaborated with the well-loved and wonderfully talented Luke Santos from Argentina on a track that was charted by Hernan in his top 20 in 2014. With a residency at Recycle Lounge and a release on Paul Hazendonk’s imprint, Manual Music, he also has a new podcast series called Heartbeat for which he did an official launch at ClubNL on July 12th....and I was fortunate to play that amazing night for my first gig in Amsterdam! This set was supposed to be called E.M.O.T.I.O.N.S 2 but i changed my mind and called it "L.I.G.H.T.S". 
Again, it is a set that really matters to me, because once again its based on my emotions and how i often feel in life.
