We just literally can't get enough of the German duo Piemont who have been consistently feeding us 110% top quality deep house for the last 3 years. Save me is out soon on Definition:Music and clearly shows how the duo keeps constantly evolving and innovating. The track is characterized by the very Piemont:ish funky percussion and drums but takes a slightly more progressive, melodic approach reminding us a lot of artists such as Ten Walls and Hernan Cataneo.  Well done once again Chris and Frederic!

German duo Piemont deliver a two-track single via Zurich’s Definition:Music this March entitled ‘Save Me / Elastic’.

Frederic Moering-Sack and Christian De Jonquieres aka Piemont have been releasing their distinctive twisted style of house music over a decade now via the likes of Exploited, Terminal M, Skint, Area Remote and of course Definition:Music where they return to here. A label which has played host to material from the likes of Darius Syrossian, Josh Butler, Reboot, Nick Curly and many more.

Up first on the package is ‘Save Me’, a progressive tension fuelled composition laid out over six minutes with elongated bass drones, sweeping synth swells, atmospheric chord progressions and a rhythmic shuffle.

‘Elastic’ follows and rounds out the release, opting for a more reserved approach via tumbling organic percussion and bulbous bass drones alongside a dynamic, evolving synth hook and snaking synth whirrs and vocal hums.

Piemont’s ‘Save Me’ EP is out on Definition:Music 6th March 2017.

Wassim Younes is an experience.
He is a state of mind.
He is the transporter of minds and souls to an amazing frantic paradise that, while leaving you knackered, strangely also leaves you feeling re-invigorated.
At 6ft tall and broad-shouldered, a chunky ostentatious bracelets around his arms, and immaculate dress sense ,he makes an imposing figure who commands respect.
Yet, he is not dancing; this is something far more emotional. Imagine watching a couple having hot, rough, yet passionate but dominating sex to a breathless, wailing lover which, in this case, comes in the shape of a mixing desk. Forceful, dominant, yet always tender and caring. The visual impact allows your body to further immerse itself in the ecstasy he is submitting you to; your ears alone cannot possibly absorb everything that he is throwing at you.
As for his sound, imagine every track as a partially completed canvas. Through the use of effects on the mixing desk, he adds his own colour, texture and feel as he maximises every beat of every track to create the unique sound. His precision mixing at incalculable speeds is part of the show; as each track mixes in you can positively feel the dance-floor going up a notch to keep up with the frantic and energetic DJ that has them all by the balls.

Two weeks had passed since the witch chased away the logger from her forest.  For the first time since that fateful day, she had the courage to return to the spot where the villain had chopped down the tree.  The witch still felt heartbroken at the sight of the dead tree.  She decided to sit down on the trunk and tune in to the surrounding trees.  As these giants have a very slow way of communicating, this process took several hours.  When the sun was already going down, the message trickled in that a new tree should be planted at the very spot where the witch was standing during her heroic act of two weeks earlier.  The trees explained that she had harnessed so much energy on that day that this place had become a permanent energetic hotspot.  And it should be an oak tree, as this tree was destined to live over 1000 years old and serve as one of the ‘mother trees’ which form the backbone of all healthy forest ecosystems.
The next day the witch dispatched some squirrels to search the most suitable sapling, while she spread the news that a new tree would be planted on the eve of the next new moon.
That day, all the animals of the forest converged at the now famous spot, from the tiniest little spider to the biggest deer buck.  They aligned spontaneously in 11 concentric circles around the girl.  All animals watched in complete silence as the little witch was carefully planting the tiny sapling with gentle, loving movements.  Finally, she looked up and smiled and instantly there was a huge eruption of pure joy, the mice started to squeak, the badgers growled, all the birds sang in their own language.  And this was only the start of a huge  celebration which would last until deep into the night…
