With a decade-long musical journey, leapyear, a growing member in the ambient community, is already leaving an enduring mark on dark ambient music. Renowned for crafting immersive soundscapes that transport listeners to ethereal realms, leapyear's artistry is a testament to a thriving passion. Growing up in Wisconsin, he connects with the dark aesthetic and harsh winter connections that dark ambient music embodies.

Beyond the solitary act of music creation, leapyear is deeply integrated within the community of ambient artists. Engaging with like-minded creators, he contributes to the ever-growing world of dark ambient music, fostering connections and pushing the boundaries of sonic exploration.

Leapyear takes inspiration and influences from the likes of ybyrayy, trapeia, mezh, hallow, sevenlies, pxlse, endless withdrawal and futureville, Øneheart and my head is empty.

His music has been released with prestigious labels such as listen24seven, dreamscape and lost sounds. Also support comes from Youtube channels nobody, and Comfort Is Yours.

At just 20 years old, auroatønes, also known as Halil Furkan Karademir, has been honing his music production skills in Turkey. Drawing inspiration from esteemed artists such as C418, FutureVille, Lena Raine, and Narvent, auroatønes has cultivated a distinct approach to ambient music and holds great promise for the future.

Trapeia, another young electronic music producer, emerged from a small town in middle Germany and began his digital music production journey in 2021. With his wide-ranging sound spanning from ambient to phonk to electroclash, trapeia has garnered a global following, amassing over 5 million plays across various platforms. Notably, his ambient tracks have been featured on Spotify's editorial playlists such as Ambient X & movements.

Deep Heads presents the latest single from the forthcoming Cosmic Vibrations Vol.5 compilation, this time with an offering from the talented artist Liminka. With his track 'Greenland,' Liminka showcases his incredible musical talent and unique fusion of acoustic instruments and electronics.

The production starts with acoustic guitar riffs, creating a sense of folk and storytelling influences. Layered with dreamlike pad synthesis, the track takes on an ethereal quality.

As the song progresses, the intensity builds and additional layers join in, creating a symphony of detailed and precise frequencies. The energy of the recording is tranquil and peaceful, yet purposeful and uplifting. It is truly a remarkable piece of musical artistry.

Liminka takes influences from the likes of Boards of Canada, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Bonobo, David Holmes, and Fennesz to name a few. 

Liminka previously released an impressive EP titled 'Hungerberg' on Deep Heads in 2022, which solidified his name in the deep electronic music scene. The EP received support from notable DJs like Laurent Garnier and garnered glowing reviews from Higher Plain Music and Stationary Travels.

With 'Greenland' alongside a lineup of exceptional artists including Bonobo, TM Juke, Jon Kennedy, Tor, Zeb Samuels, Ødyzon, Synkro, and more, Cosmic Vibrations Vol. 5 is a compilation that should not be missed.
