With a decade-long musical journey, leapyear, a growing member in the ambient community, is already leaving an enduring mark on dark ambient music. Renowned for crafting immersive soundscapes that transport listeners to ethereal realms, leapyear's artistry is a testament to a thriving passion. Growing up in Wisconsin, he connects with the dark aesthetic and harsh winter connections that dark ambient music embodies.

Beyond the solitary act of music creation, leapyear is deeply integrated within the community of ambient artists. Engaging with like-minded creators, he contributes to the ever-growing world of dark ambient music, fostering connections and pushing the boundaries of sonic exploration.

At just 20 years old, auroatønes, also known as Halil Furkan Karademir, has been honing his music production skills in Turkey. Drawing inspiration from esteemed artists such as C418, FutureVille, Lena Raine, and Narvent, auroatønes has cultivated a distinct approach to ambient music and holds great promise for the future.

Trapeia, another young electronic music producer, emerged from a small town in middle Germany and began his digital music production journey in 2021. With his wide-ranging sound spanning from ambient to phonk to electroclash, trapeia has garnered a global following, amassing over 5 million plays across various platforms. Notably, his ambient tracks have been featured on Spotify's editorial playlists such as Ambient X & movements.

Deep Heads presents the latest single from the forthcoming Cosmic Vibrations Vol.5 compilation, this time with an offering from the talented artist Liminka. With his track 'Greenland,' Liminka showcases his incredible musical talent and unique fusion of acoustic instruments and electronics.

The production starts with acoustic guitar riffs, creating a sense of folk and storytelling influences. Layered with dreamlike pad synthesis, the track takes on an ethereal quality.

As the song progresses, the intensity builds and additional layers join in, creating a symphony of detailed and precise frequencies. The energy of the recording is tranquil and peaceful, yet purposeful and uplifting. It is truly a remarkable piece of musical artistry.

Deep are very proud to present ‘Amethyst’ from label veteran Rowl. The single is the latest instalment for the forthcoming compilation Cosmic Vibrations Vol.5.

The production is a presentation of truly meditative sounds and frequencies that transport you into a dream world. Lots of analogue white noise on the top end that ease you down a few notches, while the Dub, bass and techno influences lace the track with some masterful touches. 

Many of you may remember Rowl’s debut on Smokin’ Sessions over ten years ago in 2011. Since then, Rowl has become a prominent artist on both Smokin' Sessions and Deep Heads roster, with a number of amazing releases under his belt. Classics like 'lunar', 'Jupiter', 'Thorey of one', and 'Solstice', all with Versa, are sure to bring back memories for our long-time fans. Rowl also graced us with his incredible EP ‘Asterism’ on Sessions recently.

Easy Sunday y'all. This is my first liquid drum and bass mix and my first mix outside of jungle really.

This was something I wanted to try before Jungle Modellista was an idea. I quickly gravitated towards that beautiful atmospheric, soulful side of dnb and really tried to express that through this mix. Definitely one for that nice spring weather with the windows open. Could also pair well with a sultry lounge. The cover is an old picture I took back in Austin 2014. I was jamming all these songs while living there so it only made sense. Although they hit much different nowadays. Hope you enjoy, feedback always appreciated. Peace -B
