for the knowledge deep seeded in my bones, planted with love and tenderness, weeded with strong lessons

my mother has always grown such beautiful gardens, there was always a bouquet or food basket to be made for the visitor, the neighbour, the teacher. This abundance was never lost on me, a lesson in everything this earth has to offer if we tend to it, if we listen, if we come back to it again and again, so we can share its wealth to nourish and uplift those around us.

This song was created using a climate sample pack recorded by green peace on expeditions around the globe for a contest for DJ's for Climate Action that asked the question: 

“what will our future sound like” 

to me our future sounds like listening. There is a symphony of sounds out there that inform us to how our environment is functioning. Listening and remembering ~ how we got here and how we can take care of where we are now to nurture and share in its abundance

Deep Heads are proud to present a stunning new sample pack, titled ‘Ambience Beats & Sounds’ by the incredibly talented Sun Rain.

Sun Rain is the solo alias of Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and electronic producer Chad Skinner. In 2019, he conceptually launched the Sun Rain project, fusing his versatile compositional talents to explore his own expansive sonic ideas. Recorded entirely in his home studio, Sun Rain has emerged with 'Sheets,' a gorgeous 8-track showcase of rich textural soundscapes infused with the emotional resonance of modern classical music. Organic beats and natural percussive elements are beautifully woven with dusty synths, rolling guitars, and elegant piano, creating an electro-acoustic landscape steeped in nostalgia and melancholy, yet also optimistically hopeful. Contemplative and relaxing, endearing and heartfelt, this is music for the quieter moments.

Now for the first time ever, Sun Rain has created an expansive sample pack that covers his vast array of recording instruments and provides some magical riffs and sounds that are ready to be used royalty-free.

The energy of the sample pack can only be described as signature Sun Rain sounds and is rich in body and soul.

There is an impressive list of studio equipment used for this beautiful sound pack that includes.

Rising downtempo chill producer Liminka will be releasing ‘Bones’ on the 22nd of April via Deep Heads. The producer has previously released work under the Sidi alias, for which he received support from XLR8R & most recently from Son Of Marketing, Laurent Garnier & Matt The Alien for the Liminka project.

Born in Finland, raised in Germany, and currently based in Austria, Andreas Kühn has entered the world of music under numerous names, the latest being Liminka. As a teenager, he played drums and saxophone in a few bands but became more serious about creating music when he discovered music production software at the age of 16, after which he would begin to incorporate both the guitar and rolling electronic elements into his work. The ever-evolving producer studied Electroacoustic Composition at Bauhaus University in Weimar and Music Technology in Helsinki. 

Within his latest single, the listener can hear that Liminka is influenced by deep, immersive electronic producers with an ear for detail and raw emotion-driven music. While creating the atmospheric track, the producer found inspiration in the works of Boards of Canada, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Bonobo, David Holmes, and Fennesz to name a few. His own sound would like itself at home next to the likes of Bonobo, Massive Attack, and Portico Quartet on any lo-fi collector’s shelf. 

‘Bones’ is the last track taken from the EP ‘Hungerberg’ that is soon to drop on the label or has already if you’re reading this sometime in the future.
The track is a perfect example of what Liminka is all about. 
Detailed production and bags of raw emotion drive the track throughout the journey of sounds and are masterfully produced. 
An Artist with a bright future to watch out for.

Deep Heads are very proud to present to you a brand new sample pack from production master Biome.
Titled ’Shifting Shapes’ the pack is a deep insight into his productions and offers a wide range of signature sounds and loops to use.

Biome is a producer that has been mastering his craft for many years now. It was back in 2007 he made his debut and since then has gone on to release some incredible records.
Some of the labels he has released on include Tempa, Black Box, Smokin’ Sessions, On the Edge, Osiris, Kaizen & Deep Dark & Dangerous.
His Music has been supported by some serious tastemakers & DJ's as well that include BBC Radio 6Music's Mary Ann Hobbs, Mala, J:Kenzo, Synkro, N-Type, Truth & DJ Youngsta. 

As you’d expect from being a Deep Heads release, the sample pack delivers some floaty frequencies, especially in the Melody loops & Pads, but unsurprisingly being a pack from Biome, there are some very gritty baselines and drum loops that showcase the sound that Biome is so well known for.

Presented mainly at 140BPM, it displays a wide range of influences and sounds that represent Biome & his sound. It’s an expansive sample pack that delivers a diverse pallet of producer tools.
