The man behind our next podcast is something of a dance music godfather. He has been instrumental in the development of the West Coast electro scene in The Netherlands, is the founder of the much loved community radio station Intergalactic FM and runs a clutch of labels including Viewlexx and Murdercapital. He pioneered the electro sound and kick started a disco revival with his own productions, is behind a number of seminal mix compilations and DJs around the world, playing everything from Italo to cosmic, synth wave to horror sound tracks. Recently he made a rare new record on his own Viewlexx label under the Panama Brown alias (which is I-F and Legowelt together) and now he has served us up a sizzling new mix. 

Lasting just over two hours, the mix is a slick and seamless ride through many different genres. Rather than following one predictable arc, the moods and grooves seamlessly change gear through uplifting stuff, jacking stuff and vocal stuff from across the ages of house, techno and electro. A truly kaleidoscopic selection that finds I-F digging typically deep, this is a hugely enjoyable window into his unique musical world.

I'm happy to finally release my first extended set with you, recorded at StereoBar in Montreal. StereoBar is a club that's quickly jumped onto my shortlist of favorite venues in the world. Beyond the nailing the club fundamentals (sound system, layout, lighting, staff), they feature the "All Night" series where one DJ plays as opener, headliner, and closer. I love this format since it gives me the opportunity to build the energy from scratch and take the night in any direction without constraints.

But more importantly, I get to play for one of the most enthusiastic, supportive crowds that I've ever encountered. The energy from this night was the strongest I've felt in quite some time, certainly my best gig of the last year. Almost everything I threw out there worked, which actually makes me think that I might not have worked hard enough. There are many more sonic landscapes I'd love to explore, so hopefully I can come back again soon and we can take another journey in that special room...

June's full moon is brought to you by German talent Landhouse. Influenced by the techno party scene during the naughty Nineties, he started deejaying in early 2000.  Hosting a small Party row in Erdbeermund Karlsruhe called Wohnstubendisko since 2008, Landhouse started producing in 2014. 

His compositions are deep and touching, very powerful tools to unfold profound emotions and able to take you from dreamy atmospheres to the tenebrous side of music. 

We are proud to announce that this mix contains some inedited songs from his new 8 track Album LIFE, to release here on Pachamama mid July 2018. Watch this space and enjoy this podcast in the meantime!

So die kleine Januarpause ist vorbei und alle Special-Podcast haben euch hoffentlich gefallen. Nach dem großartigen Neujahrs-Auftakt von Niki Sadeki habe ich heute auch wieder ein ganz magisches Set für euch. 

Vimmerby ist nicht die Hauptstadt des Bass … auch wenn es etwas nach Wummernden Bässen klingt … nein es ist die Geburtsstadt von Astrid Lindgren … die der Namengeber eines unserer heutigen Künstler ist … die Rede ist von Tummetott. Der zweite im Bunde ist auch so ein magischer Schelm … Eulenspiegel heißt er und ist gebürtiger Kreuzberger. 

Seit einem recht spontanen B2B auf dem Plötzlich am Meer im Jahre 2017 … sind die beiden mit den magischen Namen gerne Zusammen hinterm DJ-Pult unterwegs um auch ihre Magie in den Sound fließen zu lassen --- was sehr gut funktioniert wie ich finde ;-)

Eulenspiegel ist ein waschechter Berliner … die man ja mittlerweile sehr selten findet. Zur elektronischen Musik ist er wie so einige im Jahre 2004 über seinen ersten Fusion-Besuch gekommen und anscheinend hat es ihn nicht mehr losgelassen.  Sisy, Mensch Meier, Bucht hier ist er hinterm DJ-Pult ein immer gern gesehener Gast … jo und alles irgendwie ja auch meine Lieblings-Clubs in Berlin … was ein Zufall. Die letzten Jahre hat er auch die sehr feinen Grenzelose Kolibris Party veranstaltet wo ja auch meine Oberschnuckis Doob & Janoma immer mit am Start sind … und so schließt sich dann auch wieder der Kreis … magisch?

Ja und mit Tummetott verbindet mit eine sehr lange musikalische Freundschaft. Ich kann mich noch gut an das Set „Aus Tummetotts Schatztruhe“ erinnern … das wohl eins meiner meistgehörten Sets ist. Das hab ich mal zum Schneeräumen abends um 21.00 Uhr bei mir auf dem großen Hof auf den Kopfhörern gehabt und das war glaube ich einer der intensivsten Musikerlebnisse die ich je hatte – Schneetanzräumen … kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Till und Jonas haben sie magisch ins Zeug gelegt und eine traumhaftes treibendes und doch auf der anderen Seite entspanntes Set gezaubert. Tausend dank für die wunderbaren 1 ½ Stunden ihr Zwei … ist mir eine wahre Freude euch in meiner Reihe zu haben. 

So liebe Hörer und nun lasst euch von der Magie der Musik auf eine tolle Reise schicken und wir hören uns in 14 Tagen wieder … Liebst euer Uwe
