Currently one-half of the synthwave duo, Velocity 128, Jonathan Lim is an electronic musician, producer, and DJ whose music draws from new wave, alternative rock, and dance music influences to create a soundtrack for nostalgic afternoon vibes and afterhour dance sessions. For live performances, Velocity 128 continues their residency at Betamax Video Club - a monthly synthwave and 80s B-movie event in Washington, DC.

Previously, as a keyboard player and co-songwriter for the electronic rock band, 23RAINYDAYS, the band received media attention in 2009 when MTV selected the band as a Top 3 Breakout Artist out of DC.

Deep Tech was an event concept developed in Washington DC in 2016. Initially a knee-jerk reaction to the musical politics of the D.C. scene where large, well established parties and venues capitalized on taking advantage local talent by forcing them underground and to develop a Do it yourself approach. As a result, Deep Tech sought to bring the power back to the local, hardworking DJs through providing opportunities for them to play, and develop their talent. 
Fast foward to today and Deep Tech has became a brand and lifestyle in its own right. Deep Tech now finds itself in Washington D.C. and San Diego, CA.
In order to further galvanize the brand Deep Tech now finds itself at the helm of Deep Tech Recordings. Deep Tech Recordings is a champion of Deep Tech / Minimal and Deep House while also providing Tech House and Techno as the parties sought to do. By looking on the deeper, darker side of electronic music, Deep Tech recordings seeks to galvanize the vision, brand and lifestyle  of the Deep Tech through original music to bring the soundscapes of Deep Tech to the masses of the US and beyond.
