Default Lab - Labmix Collection

LabMix023 recorded sat.25-05-24 @ Default-Lab home studio. 
Distorted Elements, A compilation of recently released tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. Here we have it, my latest home session, this time A more punchy, driven, an almost primetime style of techno. 
A 150minutes set filled with tons of repetitive rhythmics and over all A very 'BIG' sound, just the way that that real techno should sound. 
Also on the mixing part still deepening out the possibilities on the A&H Xone DB4 which obviously still has some secrets hidden inside and fine tuning/organizing my Serato catalog to a more logic extend. Again A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

Default LabMix023 25 05 24 - Distorted Elements

LabMix026 recorded sat.17-08-24 @ Default-Lab home studio. 
A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. System Overload... A boiling hot session that's just destined to make you move.
There's some serious business going on here, a blend of heavy, hypnotic, sweaty repetitive techno,  perfectly suitable for the peak of the night till the break of dawn! 
A continuously increasing vibin' sound that exceeds the point of no return, so be aware ...  'Meltdown Initiated'
Also luvin' my setup, on the mixing part still deepening out the possibilities on the A&H Xone DB4, new headphones seems to do it's part and I'm still fine tuning/organizing my Serato catalog to a more logic extend. All this contributes to the result of this mixing session recorded on a hot summer night in a boiling hot studio. Again A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

Default LabMIx026 17 08 24- Meltdown Initiated

LabMix027 recorded sat.02-11-24 @ Default-Lab home studio.
A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. Full thrust ahead... A peaktime session, launching you on a digital highway in a landscape of electronic components, Light-Emitting Diodes and soldered pathways.
Experiencing scattering rhythmics, static soundwaves, high frequency sparks, glimmering particles and fully charged beats. So, energy level is on max, the gauges are set on lightspeed! Let’s go!
My advice: strap on, don’t look back and just keep going… next exit in 90 minutes!
Also luvin' my setup, on the mixing part still deepening out the possibilities on the A&H Xone DB4 and still fine tuning/organizing my Serato catalog to a more logic extend. All this contributes to the result of this mixing session. A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

Default LabMix027 02 11 24 - A Binary Propulsion

LabMix028 recorded sat.28-12-24 @ Default-Lab home studio.
A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. recorded earlier this weekend at my home studio. 
this latest set is actually a test recording to try out my new configuration and settings on the DB4, 
this A&H mixer still continues to amaze me even after all these years. 
I have been using it so long now in various configurations, but only recent have I discovered the MIDI mapping functions, which finally allowed me to put an 
end to that annoying lag between the timecodevinyl and the internal MIDI clock of the DB4. 
This results in much more comfortabel, fun and smoother mixing.
I feel like the test was successful and I can 
now continue remapping the mixer even more to my personal feel.
(I like my workflow to be as analog as possible, old school. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a digital mixer.)
So now I basically created 2 layers, 1 for FLAC digital/timecode and 1 for good old real vinyl. 
No extra hardware needed, less is more, that's how I prefer it, everything hands-on, on 1 piece off gear. 
So, once more, A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. recorded earlier this weekend at my home studio. 
this latest set is actually a follow-up on the first test recording to try out my new configuration and settings on the DB4,
