Default Lab - Labmix Collection

LabMix023 recorded sat.25-05-24 @ Default-Lab home studio. 
Distorted Elements, A compilation of recently released tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. Here we have it, my latest home session, this time A more punchy, driven, an almost primetime style of techno. 
A 150minutes set filled with tons of repetitive rhythmics and over all A very 'BIG' sound, just the way that that real techno should sound. 
Also on the mixing part still deepening out the possibilities on the A&H Xone DB4 which obviously still has some secrets hidden inside and fine tuning/organizing my Serato catalog to a more logic extend. Again A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

Default LabMix023 25 05 24 - Distorted Elements

LabMix026 recorded sat.17-08-24 @ Default-Lab home studio. 
A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. System Overload... A boiling hot session that's just destined to make you move.
There's some serious business going on here, a blend of heavy, hypnotic, sweaty repetitive techno,  perfectly suitable for the peak of the night till the break of dawn! 
A continuously increasing vibin' sound that exceeds the point of no return, so be aware ...  'Meltdown Initiated'
Also luvin' my setup, on the mixing part still deepening out the possibilities on the A&H Xone DB4, new headphones seems to do it's part and I'm still fine tuning/organizing my Serato catalog to a more logic extend. All this contributes to the result of this mixing session recorded on a hot summer night in a boiling hot studio. Again A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

Default LabMIx026 17 08 24- Meltdown Initiated

LabMix027 recorded sat.02-11-24 @ Default-Lab home studio.
A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. Full thrust ahead... A peaktime session, launching you on a digital highway in a landscape of electronic components, Light-Emitting Diodes and soldered pathways.
Experiencing scattering rhythmics, static soundwaves, high frequency sparks, glimmering particles and fully charged beats. So, energy level is on max, the gauges are set on lightspeed! Let’s go!
My advice: strap on, don’t look back and just keep going… next exit in 90 minutes!
Also luvin' my setup, on the mixing part still deepening out the possibilities on the A&H Xone DB4 and still fine tuning/organizing my Serato catalog to a more logic extend. All this contributes to the result of this mixing session. A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

Default LabMix027 02 11 24 - A Binary Propulsion

LabMix028 recorded sat.28-12-24 @ Default-Lab home studio.
A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. recorded earlier this weekend at my home studio. 
this latest set is actually a test recording to try out my new configuration and settings on the DB4, 
this A&H mixer still continues to amaze me even after all these years. 
I have been using it so long now in various configurations, but only recent have I discovered the MIDI mapping functions, which finally allowed me to put an 
end to that annoying lag between the timecodevinyl and the internal MIDI clock of the DB4. 
This results in much more comfortabel, fun and smoother mixing.
I feel like the test was successful and I can 
now continue remapping the mixer even more to my personal feel.
(I like my workflow to be as analog as possible, old school. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a digital mixer.)
So now I basically created 2 layers, 1 for FLAC digital/timecode and 1 for good old real vinyl. 
No extra hardware needed, less is more, that's how I prefer it, everything hands-on, on 1 piece off gear. 
So, once more, A signature Default LabMix, please enjoy!

A compilation of various tracks by some of my favorite various artist and labels. recorded earlier this weekend at my home studio. 
this latest set is actually a follow-up on the first test recording to try out my new configuration and settings on the DB4, 
this A&H mixer still continues to amaze me even after all these years.

ADRI.G aka RODRÍGUEZ is Madrid-based DJ with over 25 years of experience behind the decks.

Countless sessions in clubs and festivals, sharing the stage with major national and international artists.

Currently a DJ & promoter at Clublärm and a resident at the San Isidronic parties. Producer for the label Analog Solutions, Db2B Records, where his last two EPs have had great international impact. Under his alias RODRÍGUEZ, he showcases his most experimental and electronic side.

ESQUITA began her DJ mission with fast-paced psytrance strains, debuting as part of the Instytut Dźwięku in 2023. Since her debut, she has played many times in clubs including Szpitalna 1, Święta Krowa, STK47, Sekta Selekta, Mashroom, Poczta Główna, Prozak 2.0, Noce Krk, Plan Be.
She is the organizer of the new Psy-kick project, the spirit and driving force of which are night subgenres of psytrance.
ESQUITA loves to explore different subgenres of "psy" and combine them, smuggling in a large dose of energy, but also a lot of darkness and deep sounds. Her repertoire also includes slower tempos - minimal psy, dark progressive psy, psytech.


Hellix:

Hailing from the eastern region of Poland, has found his groove in the vibrant city of Krakow. A dedicated club enthusiast, he immerses himself in the pulsating beats of the techno scene. Through unwavering determination and relentless effort, Hellix has carved his path as both a DJ and a producer, steadily rising through the ranks of Poland's electronic music landscape in recent years.
In 2023, Hellix joined forces with Aetha and Diabot to become a member of the "Feed Crew," a collective dedicated to advancing the underground electronic music scene. Together, they quickly gained recognition for organizing and curating dynamic events that resonated with audiences throughout Poland.
Throughout his journey, Hellix has had the privilege of sharing the stage with an impressive array of talent, including esteemed artists such as Benales, Madalba, Mario Berger, Mary Yuzovskaya, Stranger, Border One, Hemka, The Lady Machine and many others. This exposure not only honed his skills but also solidified his position within the techno community.

Set the Mood with ONID!

For ONID, the perfect opening set is entirely dependent on the setting, lineup, room, and atmosphere. While she enjoys a slow and gradual build, she also embraces experimentation, using the opportunity to test the crowd and set the tone for the night. Her approach involves balancing moody, atmospheric tracks with more energetic and distinctive selections, carefully managing breaks to maintain a steady, hypnotic flow.

Hedwig, better known as ONID, is a DJ and curator based in Groningen, the Netherlands. Her style is defined by a driving energy, often incorporating deep modular elements. She has a distinctive taste, shaped by a love for unconventional and experimental sounds, with a strong focus on growling basslines and intricate percussion patterns. Her sets create a playful yet captivating energy, always full of surprises.

She has performed at renowned venues such as OOST, Raum, and PIP and has appeared at festivals including Paradigm and Onder de Radar. Beyond her DJ performances, she plays an active role in organizing events and holds a residency at SPOKEN. Additionally, she contributes to the programming of Relate Radio, a local station dedicated to experimental and niche sounds.

For the next edition of the Artaphine series, we’re excited to welcome Finalversion3 - label head of the acclaimed Gordo Trax imprint and event series.

His latest EP on Gordo Trax showcased his wide-ranging sound, moving seamlessly between techno and drum & bass, and featured powerful remixes from none other than Oscar Mulero and Answer Code Request.

The set we’re sharing is a live recording from his performance at Spook Club: a relentless journey through driving techno, rich in detailed sound design, and even dipping into the depths of dubstep.

LabMix033 is here! This time it's a solid chunk. Partly at the request of a loyal listener I'm delivering you a dj-set inspired by the Spanish dj/producer Oscar Mulero but of course with a spicy Default sauce drizzled all over it. After seeing the man at work, just a few weeks ago at his all-night-long set in the Fuse in Brussels, the atmosphere for this session was quickly set.
So, a lot of new tracks from Spanish soil, among others, all bundled in a 3-hour techno orgy. This is Default LabMix033 17 05 25 - For An Angel

Romanian classical music guitarist turned techno artist.
Born in 1986, in Bucharest, Romania, michael ius began studying classical music at the age of 14. He completed his education at the George Enescu Music High School,followed by the Music University in Bucharest, where he specialised in classical guitar.

Michael's first encounter with techno came in 2012, when he discovered a new
Universe of thoughts and emotions.
Since then, he has been tirelessly exploring and refining his production skills, earning the support of numerous underground artist around Europe.
