Our friends in UK label @loveandotherthings releases their first single of 2017 and it's a smasher. 

"Please Be True" (drops February 10th) sees producer Martyn Henderson AKA @mash team up with prolific British icon @idriselba (yeah, you probably heard of him) with a track weaving through whirring synths, percussive blips and a warm, heartfelt vocal offering from Idris Elba.

On remix duty, we got @sinden who's been down with Discobelle since day one so we're of course extremely glad to premiere this club ready remix from him, he casually flips the vibe of the original version with the help of a wonky, low slung bass and some serious bleeped up action together with a steadfast beat.

2017 is the year that iconic German house duo @milk_and_sugar celebrate their 20th anniversary and they've confirmed their first release of 2017 – a reworking of their classic 1999 anthem and international breakthrough hit "Higher & Higher" - which will be out on February 17th. 

The remix package comes with killer new remixes from the likes of Teenage Mutants (Stil Vor Talent, Off Recordings, Kittball Records, Suara Music) Berlin-based duo Robosonic, a re-mastered re-edit of the 1999 remix from New York house legend David Morales and of course our Discobelle premiere today, a remix courtesy of Milk & Sugar themselves which is pure, feelgood housed up goodness.
 
"Higher & Higher" marks the start of the celebrations this year, which will all culminate with the release of a 20th Anniversary album coming this summer which will consist of a collection of brand new songs alongside fresh interpretations of some of their greatest tracks.
 
"We can’t believe we’ve been doing this for 20 years. It only feels like we started yesterday." says the duo. "It’s going to be a big year for us, with some very special releases and what better way to start than ‘Higher & Higher’, which is what started everything for us."

The 47th installment of our podcast, which features global and local acts alike, was recorded live at Output Brooklyn in December of 2015. DJs, producers, owners of Club Country Disco and self-proclaimed after-party connoisseurs, Golf Clap have released on some of the most influential house labels in circulation, have a Boiler Room appearance under their belt and have graced the decks of some of the most celebrated nightclubs and festivals in the States.

Hugh Cleal and Bryan Jones discovered their love for house music in Chicago, later bringing it to Detroit where they now live.
