This track was inspired by real life events. After loosing his mom and his twin at birth, local #DMV artist Webby Woo decided to share his pain and frustration by leaving it in the booth.  Woo sent me the lyrics and the track and I fell in love. 

He didn't quite have the melody for the hook but after going over it a few times and sending him recordings of how I heard it, we we're able to create a great arrangement that was executed soulfully by HMG recording artist, Lyric Bravado. 

Not having the same experience as Woo, it took me a moment to create my verse because I never had the personal experience. I used one of my favorite uncles and my grandmother as the inspiration to create my lyrics...then shortly a month or so after the track was recorded I would find out that I was pregnant and carrying twins that I unfortunately miscarried...listen to the lyrics!

Donnell Robertson (born August 7, 1991) is known by his stage name " Definite D". Donnell started rapping at the age of 12, he is most known for rapping at " Francis Junior High" and "Hyde LPCS" in Washington DC.
