Control Freak Recordings launches with ’Translucence’, the debut EP from London-based DJ and Producer @Keplrr. With influences spanning UK techno, breaks and bass, it's already received support from DJs including Ben UFO, Or:la and Minor Science.

Stripped back with a careful attention to detail, Translucence’s airy synths have drawn comparison with early releases on Warp Records. A diverse selection of tracks ranging from floor filling, breakbeat-driven tools to spacey cuts perfect for the earliest of hours.

Twin System present “Victim Of The System”, a 28-track compilation with all profits donated to Brixton Soup Kitchen. Functional heaters alongside malfunctioning oddities for a good cause.

Brixton Soup Kitchen offers support to the homeless and in need and relies heavily on donations to sustain their work. They provide invaluable relief to a community hugely impacted by the virus, as well as a homeless population forced back onto the streets since the temporary housing provided came to an end. 

As normality resumes, the chance of another wave of cases and another inadequate response from our government grows. This along with the huge number of people already suffering from the economic impact of the virus means organisations like B.S.K. are now more important than ever.

Massive thank you to all the artists who generously contributed tracks and big ups to Junior for helping bring it together.

Pro.tone’s use of vocal samples further adds to the curious nature of the music, shrouded in ambiguity and processed in a way that accelerates the transgression into an eccentric rabbit-hole-esque journey. 

Difficult to place in terms of genre, Zero Day Attack firmly cements Pro.tone’s individuality in an ever-changing realm of bass music in the 130bpm region. Indicative of how style transcends tempo, only one track – Mechanisms sits at 130bpm, highlighting consistent innovation in a scene which whilst based in the UK, stretches far and wide globally.

We're incredibly happy to present 'Still Running' by Manchester-based Mercy System. ‘Still Running’ is an ode to UK Dubstep and heavily features archetypal sounds used in seminal tracks of that era. This is intertwined through his use of sampling in the title track, as a reference to the UK Dubstep aesthetic that’s still running through much of UK Techno to this day. 

Four tracks destined to shake the bass-bins as soon as possible.
