We no longer need to introduce DJ Babatr — founding figure of the Raptor House movement and a true pioneer of Venezuela’s electronic scene. From the streets of Caracas to dancefloors worldwide, his raw and vibrant sound blends tribal percussion, urban energy, and futuristic electronic pulses.

Couvre x Chefs had the honor of hosting him for his first club show in France in October 2023 at Petit Bain — a defining moment that marked the beginning of a lasting connection between the producer and our label.

Two years later, this relationship comes full circle with the release of Pedro Le Dino, an explosive and organic EP, due late 2025 on Couvre x Chefs. With this new project, DJ Babatr continues to push the boundaries of his sound, weaving techno and trance influences into the relentless rhythmic intensity that defines Raptor House, asserting more than ever his unique vision of contemporary electronic music.

Featuring four original tracks and four remixes by Couvre x Chefs members — BJF, Scarlett, Tévéa and Tim Karbon — Pedro Le Dino stands as a vibrant testament to the ongoing artistic dialogue between Caracas and the French electronic scene.

● Take Your Time – EP is a five-track showcase of bass-heavy versatility from New Zealand’s Unwell, blending UK bass, garage, 2-step, and jungle; it moves from shimmering grooves to peak-time club pressure — built to work in any setting, from the rave to the lounge.
Produced in Wellington, the EP opens with the title track Take Your Time, a shimmering, swing-heavy garage cut, followed by two distinctive remixes: producers Joku deliver a forward-moving flip, while Ukrainian artist Lostlojic adds a smoky, atmospheric edge.
Disco Take switches gears with a playful jungle-meets-disco fusion, before Tamaki Makaurau based AndWahn closes the EP with a driving club remix built for peak-time energy.

Released on Washington’s Sound Transitions, Take Your Time – EP is a cross-
continental journey in groove; born in Wellington but shaped by influences and talents

from across the world. It’s a celebration of bass culture’s international spirit.

Kassian return to Faux Poly after 3 years, marking a new chapter for both the duo and the label they founded. Locked / Ghost Dub keeps things direct. Both tracks are born from hardware, staying true to Kassian’s process while leaving aside any overarching concept. Instead, this is their most direct statement yet; functional, raw, and made for DJs. Locked is a bass-driven breakbeat track with a distinctly UK flavour, atmospheric, spacious and designed for a real soundsystem.

"This is our first release on Faux Poly since October 2023. After focusing on our album and the club remixes, we felt it was time to return to our home ground, putting out club material without overthinking concepts or narratives that you get with longer projects. This EP is formed of 2 ideas we’ve developed during that period, bringing together new styles and techniques we picked up along the way. With our first India tour coming up this October, it feels like the perfect moment to road-test something new."


Kassian - Ghost Dub / Locked [FXPLY020] (Previews)

The second chapter in the Lambratech trilogy features UnoTurbo with Semimodular: an alchemical blend of raw Electro aesthetics and experimental additive synthesis. A vision of circuitry gone sentient, modularity in mutation.
To expand the release into uncharted sonic territory, we’ve brought in a global remix crew reshaping the original material with bold identities and distinct grooves:

aanomalia delivers a deep Afro-bass rework of Semimodular, pulsing with hypnotic drive.

Spaceface reinvents Into the Machine through a stripped-down Electro-Techno lens, machine-driven yet soulful.

zpectrum, already a familiar name on Lambratech, twists Into the Machine into a groovy, late-night weapon.

DJ Bastard goes full chaos mode, warping the same track into a high-speed freakout for the fearless dancefloor.

Highfidelity transforms PC Data into a shimmering dreamscape, full of digital nostalgia and tight pressure.

Closing the EP is Acye Bio, a fresh Italian voice, channeling future bass and broken textures into a forward-thinking hybrid.

canary yellow makes dance music that thrives in the in-between - melodic yet propulsive, intricate yet explosive, delicate yet undeniably physical. On the 'Angel Club EP' for London label Faux Poly, the Los Angeles artist showcases a sound that carries the precision of UK techno & house with the fluidity of American bass music.

The title track is a dark, percussion-heavy breakbeat cut built for deep, focused dancefloor moments that leans on UKG and US influenced 2-step vibes with a low-end pulse and energetic vocals. "Front to Back," created in collaboration with fellow LA producer Next to Blue, is a high energy dub-infused house track driven by a simple, rolling groove and hypnotic chord stabs that create a suspended, atmospheric tension and euphoric release. Rounding out the EP is a peaktime four-on-the-floor reimagining of "Angel Club" that lifts the mood with a lighter bouncier energy while retaining its rhythmic precision and immersive flow of the original.

Since debuting on CloudCore with ‘Waterlily’, his sound has shapeshifted across releases on forward-thinking labels like Tabula Rasa, Daisy Chain, Conduit, and Bitbird. As much a producer as he is a DJ, canary yellow has found himself supporting and sharing the stage with artists who helped shape their vision such as Caribou, Conducta, Jacques Greene, Jasper Tygner, O’Flynn, and Villager and many others.
