If it feels like it has been ages since you've heard anything from Breaks heavyweights 7DB (Se7en Deadly Breaks), it's because it has been ages! Jake has been dipping his toe in and out of the music world with his impressive Contrasts mix series under his Ensision moniker while Aaron understandably took a lengthy period away from the music world after all of his music-making gear was taken after a break-in. Thankfully for us fans and anyone who appreciates good music, the production bug has not left either of them and we're stoked to welcome them back right here, right now with a brand new remix exclusive to LSM.

Their new bass-heavy remix of Flowdan's 2016 Grime tune Horror Show Style continues with their ethos of breaking beats but on this occasion, it's all about the bump and flex of a distinct Garage vibe. Longtime fans of the duo already know that they know how to make a cracking tune, but some of you will detect an extra crispness and sharpness to the production work of their new remix which is in part thanks to the mentoring of PEAK Producer Training's bossman Mark Yardley of the Stanton Warriors. Good words have only been spoken about Mark's on-point tutoring and if he's inspiring artists like 7DB to push things forward, that can only be a very good thing for our beloved Breakbeat scene.

Unchained presents “The Remixes” compilation, a 16 track exploration of sound, encompassing a slew of fresh music by some insanely fresh talent as well as a collection of the label’s best remixes to date. With a universal roster of artists from China, Europe, UK and the States, the LP continues to forward the label’s aim of discovering and embodying unique forms of fast bass music whilst staying true to the foundations of Drum and Bass. 

Representing China, both RADIAX and 3ASIC reinterpret two of the label’s biggest tunes by OAKK and HØST - resonating with elements of rolling DNB, Jump Up, Juke and Hardcore.  From the UK, WHINEY, ROHAAN, HØST and ARKAIK deliver various mutations of grit - spanning minimal, glitch, halftime and liquid. Manchester producer Monir specialises in soundscapes with chest-rattling subs and chin-scratching production displays. While his style is not genre bound, it is akin to fellow Mancunian Walton and is heavily influenced by UK labels Livity Sound, Hessle and Timedance, to name a few.

His MELD EP ‘Still Running’ is an ode to UK Dubstep and heavily features archetypal sounds used in seminal tracks of that era. This is cleverly intertwined through his use of sampling in the title track, as a reference to the UK Dubstep aesthetic that’s still running through much of UK Techno to this day.
