Shetlands raised, Malmö based producer Bolam has been building quite the reputation for himself with his exciting blend of future-facing UK techno, breakbeat, jungle and electro. Yoke Psyche is a deeply personal project, documenting the lifestyle of hospitality work, using raw field recordings warped and twisted into experimental and clunky dance music.

Explosive, textural and short, it aims to capture the stressful balancing act of dealing with long-term physical and mental strain against the short-term gratification gained from working in this industry.

PREMIERE: Traces - EMCT (ft. Caz)

NYC’s Sha Ru heads to Tapefeed’s Inveterate Records for a new club-focused EP which channels their experiences of overcoming the fear while the band is exploring singing in English. The intensity of this fear is showcased on ‘Moi’ as it continues to build in tension over the course of the track whilst the vocal comes in and out of focus. 

Comprised of Ma Sha and Rù, the pair live and work together between NYC and Berlin. Masha is the founder behind the much-loved label and party series Kindergarten Records who we’ve featured quite regularly on the site. Between them they’ve released music via Infinite Machine, Pressure Dome, Sorry Records, Shubzin and Progressive Future.

Originally dropping in late 2023 with a packed launch party at South London’s Planet Wax, ‘Certy’ blends Lutsu’s drill- and grime-inflected production with Razor’s unforgettable bars.

The second remix comes from Groove Chronicles (Noodles) with the help of Dubchild. Responsible for more than his share of garage classics over a 25-year-plus career, Groove Chronicles’ bumping production is the perfect match for Razor’s skippy flow.
