Created during the dark days of lockdown, Rnbws' debut on Nehza Records is a luminous blend of contemporary breaks, enchanting techno and a flash of house. Each track tells a story of our connexion to Earth and an ongoing glimpse of danger within sight.

Rnbws has dubbed each side of the release “Dark” and “Bright'' to represent moody tones and doom-ridden rhythms on Side A, while Side B leans towards spirited melodies to signify hope and restoration.

PREMIERE: Rnbws - Modelicious [Nehza Records]

Waterfalls EP begins its journey with the eerie 2-step, warped sub frequencies of 'Bowen'. 'Trident Creek' then takes us into skittering broken beat territories, with Azure's signature percussive layers dancing throughout. 'The Chasm' dives deep into a break-beat driven frenzy accompanied by out of atmosphere bleeps and sirens. Closing the EP is a collaboration with producer Flandiz (Flesh Pig Recording), which blends acid lines with a silky garage beat and monstrous sub hits to deliver a groove for the dancefloor.

Each of the tracks are named after Waterfalls in Aotearoa. They came to fruition after travelling the South Island and seeing the wonder that waterfalls offer.

PREMIERE: Azure - Trident Creek [Echo Train Records]

Following up on the success of their inaugural release, Out of Sorts present the first of their new club-focused digital series, OOSX. MELD boss Mod-R sets the tone for the series with Jury: four tracks carefully selected with dark rooms and big sound systems in mind. The release spans a range of percussive, breaks-fuelled workouts that vary in tempo but are aligned by a distinctive UK feel that runs through the DNA of each track. From the classic samples used in Capacitive and Long Way from London that nod to the hazy days of warehouse raves; to the chopped-up breaks and weighty bass compositions of Jury and Mandate that make for a real heads down affair. 
Wrapping up the release is Maya Q on remix duties, who flips the title track with a refined, UK funky laced twist, chopping up the melody to provide a change of style and pace on the release. The five track release is due out 7th January 2022 and will be available on our bandcamp and through streaming and digital download platforms.

PREMIERE: Mod-R - Capacitive [Out Of Sorts]

@leshlingi debuts on Scuffed Recordings with three tracks spanning anthemic breaks, wonky UK techno and percussive club music.

Born in Iceland and now based in London, INGI has begun to make a name for himself in the UK’s club scene with his brand of broken UK club music, pulling on influences from across the electronic music spectrum.

His ‘Wrestle’ EP on Fly By Night Recordings was released at the end of 2021 and saw support from the likes of Madam X, Danielle, Anastasia Kristensen, and Frazer Ray.

Starting off proceedings on the EP is the electrifying title track ‘Fade’, anchored around glitched-out vocals and powerful breaks.

Up next is ‘Kurt’, an altogether more leftfield club track with swung percussion, robotic bass stabs, and metallic synth work.

Closing out the release is ‘Point’, whose staccato vocal stabs and rolling percussion pay homage to some of the best of UK techno and bass music.

Following appearances on Super Kitchen and Trax Couture, London-based producer Drum Thing (@drumthing)  makes his Scuffed debut with three tracks spanning percussive club tools and ethereal electronics.

UK-based @corticyte returns with EFAX008 on Art-E-Fax, a characteristically eclectic 4-tracker laden with heady bass and raw frequencies. Opener ‘Integrate 2 v5 (126 BPM)’ hits hard with a dark pulse, whilst ‘Waveguide (107 BPM)’ taps out mutant ambient soundscapes. For the B-side, ‘Horn (126 BPM)’s tripped out breakbeats and glaring horns are pure rave madness, whilst closer ‘Final Drop (128 BPM)’ will bring a fogged-out euphoria to any set. Corticyte harnesses his trippy production skills with this bold multi-layered cut.
