Jazz rap: a subgenre of Hip-Hop discussed ad nauseam by diehard fans. Whether you've been caught in a daze while bumping Tribe's Low End Theory, or you know Blue Notes Records' discography front to back, the music has birthed passionate listeners for a reason. While some heads might discount the music as being a relic of the past, the sounds of the underground still emit those feel good jazz vibes, even in today's Internet Era. Proving that there's still an audience for that laid back groove is the Mt. Kisco, New York based rapper/producer, Roga Raph. Raph is a part of the new wave of emcees looking to expand upon those jazzy Hip-Hop cuts that many of us grew up with, in hopes that he could give both contemporary heads and new listeners, simply great music. This effort all begins with the release of his eleven track, au gratis debut, 'Visionary Shift.'

Packed with dusty piano riffs and buttery soul samples, the free release gives off that old school feeling without coming across as either formulaic, or dated. As a graduate of Manhattan's School of Visual Arts, as an Illustration major, Raph is also the graphic designer behind the project's artwork. 'VIsionary Shift' is Raph telling his story, but also having fun, by not taking this tale too seriously. The album's strengths is its sonic diversity. Whether it's the chilled out, "Signz," the debut, "Fck Whut They Say," or the uptempo "In The Now" with its prominent Eckhart Tolle samples, Raph proves that he can ride with the best of them. Underrated and not Appreciated, Cant find this Classic Album anywhere!

the debut album of Canadian hip hop production team Da Grassroots, released November 9, 1999 in the United States. It was released independently on Conception Records. The album features MCs from Toronto's underground hip hop scene. "Price of Livin'", "Thematics", and "Body Language" are singles from the album.

The album received high critical acclaim. Amazon.com gave the album a favorable review, calling the group "Masters of understated musical eloquence," also stating "This is what good music sounds like. Allmusic gave it 4 out of 5 stars, stating "All in all, this album is a great example of the talent north of the border that has often been overlooked by the mass media channels.

The first track is "Down For My Crown" featuring Bas Blasta and was produced by DJ Clue. The B-Side is "Your Hood Is My Hood" which was produced by Nikke Nikole. Thanks to Shok we had the chance to unearth some sick 90s materials. This project contains 12 tracks. 6 unreleased tracks featuring Hi Tech, Parallax, PFK, and an obscure group called Rated Raw. The 3 first tracks have been mixed at the D&D Studio by Eddie Sancho (Instrumentals and acapellas included on the B Side),  The whole project has been produced by DJ Shok and mastered by Noiseman (B Flatt producer)

If you like Mass Vinyl Recordings releases or if you have interests in the great hip hop music from the Golden Era this one is a must

Both Do The Math and the Untranslated Prescriptions compilation is a seriously DOPE projects. Again, Very Melodic Production, Poetic & Spiritual Rhymes, Produced by Vitamin D & Topspin. And this burner from 95' we knew we couldn't go wrong with that! Originally was only released on cassette (K7) format at the time, and is considered a rare gem almost impossible to find! So yes brothers and sisters if you liked Do The Math (and we know you did!) This one is for you ! Nothing but pure medication for your Heart & Soul ! If you feel down, or a bit tired of this fucked up world... This Prescription Is For You! We did our best to source the purest sounding versions of this album that is even possible due to loss of original masters due to a flood. Tracks were sourced from the original Cassette and were maticulously mastered by Vincent Ternest of Wax Flowers Studio, . And it turned out great. A real "LOST" project, more than likely to have never seen the light of day again. Enjoy, something we couldn't let go by lost to a tragedy that left it on the backburner.
