Dekode is an Italian upcoming DJ, recently based in Amsterdam. Wide and various musical background, he finds a strong passion for electronic music at a young age, experienced through years exploring different genres and mixing techniques. His sound is shaped by fastpaced bouncy beats with hypnotic and minimal patterns, clean mix, layering tribal percussions with groovy bass and electro/break influences. ᵀᴴᴱ ᴳᴬᴿᴮᴬᴳᴱ ᴳᴬᴹᴱ ᴿᴬᴰᴵᴼ ˢᴴᴼᵂ is back with the ℙ𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤 series and tonight it’s time to introduce a fresh duo of veteran DJs who, combined together, account for just over ④⓪ years of dedication to Techno music: one as producer and live performer; the other as a clubber first, then as a DJ and a writer for industry e-zines. 

They’ve been seen around here pretty often these past months and, among challenges and tech issues, their every single session has been a remarkably spicy one.
From the never ending exchange that each one has provided and the brilliant synchronism that has resulted, they have decided to team up as a DJ duo, and keep that magic going on.

We thought he could be the next best candidate for a Game episode… actually, we are sure he would definitely be. 
But then we decided he deserves his own time and space behind the decks, to shine and charme you - like his DJing charmed us.

@fran_lf is a DJs’ DJ - the kind that DJs go listen to, when he plays; and his skillfulness multiplies by every additional deck you place in his booth. Not surprisingly, his solid productions have been seen in many of the shared playlists that have hyped up our past episodes.

Like all Sicilian things are surprisingly tasty, so are Francesco’s doings: mostly incline to 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝, his sound has that pretty traditional feel, and though sometimes a fuller throttle has its best, it always stays widely engaging - in sum, we haven’t seen an empty dancefloor when Captain Fran is on command.

About: 

A fresh duo of veteran DJs who, combined together, account for just over 40 years of dedication to Techno music: one as a producer and live performer; the other as a clubber first, then as a DJ and a writer for industry e-zines; and who, taking from the never ending exchange that each one has provided and the brilliant synchronism that has resulted, after a series of challenging back 2 back sessions, live streamed on Amsterdam’s Most Wanted online radio, have decided to team up as a multimodal duo - and keep that magic going on.

The common pursue for the rawest form of Techno, together with the shared passion for Old School pounding grooves, often spiced up by Latin elements, and the fascination for “the music that made us”, can all be perceived in their sound: a pinch of familiarity with the punch of innovation. 

The twosome better expresses themself jamming through a hybrid setup, where all the above elements come together, alive, for an immersive experience that’s not tailored for the faint of heart.

BTWN NTWRX (Between Networks) is 1/2 Oliver Kucera and 1/2 Delayed Sentence. Their debut EP on TH Tar Hallow, BRVTL HNST, will be released in vinyl format Dec 2024.

In Rhetorics, a delayed sentence is a periodic sentence that aims at keeping the engagement high by withholding the main idea until the very end – a story told by means of intertwined movements is the underlying idea behind Delayed Sentence's every mix.

Italian, she fell for the clubbing scene after moving to Lisbon in the early 2000s. Towards the end of the decade, she co-founded the infamous “B-80’s/Retro Futurism” nights, and under the name Pac Woman, she took booth duties focusing on the electronic dance music of the 80’s.

That eventually led to several residencies in and around Portugal’s capital.
A crate digger with a preference for unknown talents, she’s been a regular dance floor presence internationally for over 2 decades, half of which were spent intermittently behind the booth.
After hanging the headphones for good several times, in 2021 she returned to the decks to finally give vent to her unwavering passion, Techno.

Delayed Sentence’s signature Raw Techno Eleganza encompasses a blend of cutting-edge releases and golden classics, drawn from her ever-expanding vinyl collection. On decks or turntables, her mixing style defies contemporary convention, electing a steadily unstoppable flow that’s tailored for the relentless dance floor.

Mostly fast and dynamic, or more hypnotic at times, her repertoire traverses the many diverse dimensions of Techno, rising from the depth of Dub into the pounding rhythms of Hardgroove, and taking unexpected turns into Electro, Breaks or more psychedelic soundscapes.

First lady of the 8sixA Collective, Delayed Sentence runs The Garbage Game, a former radio show turned podcast, mostly focused on improvisation and genres experimentation, with the mission of showcasing up and coming local and global talent.

She's also the 1/2 of @btwn-ntwrx, a hybrid duo project with @OliverKucera; their debut EP; BRVTL HNST was released on Tar Hallow, Dec. 2024.
