Chlär now returns to his imprint with solo venture ‘Modern Survival’.

While the first Primal Instinct release saw references to artist urges and behaviours on social media, this next instalment explores a modern recontextualisation of humanity’s hierarchy of needs in yet another high-concept EP.

First up, ‘Internet Soulmate’ boasts a crunchy bassline as its drum work chugs along the track playfully. The groove twists and turns before the hypnotic and tribal ‘Supermarket Hunting’ continues with sounds of nature, loopy rhythm and syncopated bleeps.

Closing out another stellar offering from the Primal Instinct frontman, Chlär brings the dark ‘Scout My Algorithm’, a brooding slow-burner offset by smooth arpeggio snippets and warped slices of digital noise.work chugs along the track playfully. After discovering, and meeting Tibe through us randomly walking into the (now non-existant) record store “Mary Go Wild” in Amsterdam. He showed us one of his last remaining vinyl copy’s of a EP “MXMN001” he had previously released under his own label Maximalist_Minimalist. 

SAMA’s goal is to create a piece of art with every release. To let the music and the visual art create something that really grabs the attention. And since Amsterdam’s scene still seems to be so small, yet interconnected. Talent somehow, in one way or another.. Always manages to rise to surface, and will inevitably be discovered by someone, somehow.

Take a listen to this freshly released mix from our INVITED SERIES. Our aim is to give spotlight to certain artists we admire, or those wo inspire us to give them complete creative freedom, plus the room for them to showcase their beloved sounds on our platform.

SAMA FOR UNDISCLOSED - INVITED SERIES

Originally from Paris, SOD-90 started producing alongside his studies as a flutist at the renewed university of classical music from Berlin. Combining his knowledge from a wide range of musical backgrounds with his experience as a professional instrumentalist, he crafted an intense sound, characterised by noisy textures, scorching synth lines, with distorted drums and twisted vocals. All this added to complex and dynamic arrangements.

After only a few years since he started producing, SOD-90 has already been supported by some of the biggest names on the scene and has released on Avoidant, Bipolar Disorder records, Emotional Voyage, with more in the pipeline very soon. He intends to continue exploring creative approaches to production, aiming to evolve his style towards an increasingly powerful and unconventional aesthetic.

RAW TECHNO ELEGANZA

Delayed Sentence is the outcome of a love story that’s been going on for the last 2 decades. 
Italian, now residing in Amsterdam, she fell for the clubbing scene after moving to Lisbon in the early 2000s. Towards the end of the decade, she co-founded the infamous “B-80’s/Retro Futurism” nights, and under the name Pac Woman, she took booth duties focusing on the electronic dance music of the 80’s. That eventually led to several residencies in and around Portugal’s capital.
A crate digger with a preference for unknown talents, she’s been a regular dancefloor presence for over 2 decades, half of which were spent intermittently behind the booth. After hanging the headphones for good several times, in 2021 she returned to the decks to finally give vent to her strongest passion, techno. 

Purveyor of the finest techno through the years, Delayed Sentence presents fresh mixes with the newest exciting releases for the listening pleasure of other connoisseurs alike.
Mostly fast and dynamic, though darker or more hypnotic at times, her selection is guaranteed to make you travel an intense journey through all the more dimensions and soundscapes of techno, with unexpected turns into electro, breaks and leftfield.

First lady of the 8sixA collective, member of the Drop After Drop crew and resident DJ at AMW.FM on Tuesdays with The Garbage Game radio show, she is busy bringing her signature Raw Techno Eleganza to the underground dancefloors of Amsterdam and beyond.
