Live ambient journey guided within a Blue Lotus ceremony in the Guatemalan Jungle ~

 .. I was recently invited to play music for 3 hours during a private Blue Lotus Ceremony in the jungle of Guatemala. This first hour was a guided breath-work session leading into a 2 hour dance of original music.  

33 candles were lit to represent the spirit of each individual present & illuminate their purpose in this lifetime. 33 representing the 33 vertebrae in the spine on the path from the root to the crown. The set was a journey upwards & then integrating back into our body.

Live @ Medicine Festival 2024

Adrian Scharfetter aka DJ Eckoe tired of following his dreams. Mixing sounds and artwork designer,  
"Machine Elf" became his visual creation in 1998, place for digital artist as well as his musical exploration of IDM, Goa, and Psy Trance. Using his love for the obscure and interest in electronic development within the music and visual art realms, he started highlighting his time with sharpening skills and abilities as a DJ, promoter, and deco artist in and throughout the Texas / Seattle trance and burner communities with such collectives as Texaliens, Shiva Shakti, UMP, Mistical Productions, Atrium Obscurum, Last Laugh, Molecular, & Chillography.   Currently a west coast DJ rep for Ultimae Records.

Based inside the San Francisco, California underground chill environment, redefining and exploring . Working towards a PhD in Psychology at CIIS.
Discovering new and interesting ways to explore the psyche and basic human emotion through music, art, spirituality, and compassion.
Combining spirituality, art, and psychotherapy in an entheogenic mindset, a lot of wonderful and revolutionary possibilities can unfold.

Described as a "ambient, ethno, tribal mixture of downtempo and trance with hypnotic influences from Japan, France, the Middle East, and Germany. During the Wanderlust Festival in Oahu 2019, Amani was invited to play for 3 relaxing yoga classes taught by Amanda Giacomini. These 3 sets are each different as they were following the flow of the class in the moment and the stories that Amanda weaves into her classes. The sets feature a blend of music from the Liquid Bloom and Desert Dwellers catalog, as well as a few gems from Shamans Dream, Dead Can Dance, Ishq, Shantala, and a few other yoga inspired artists.

This set was followed by Androcell, making a night of Deep, Dubby, Dreamy music in the Chill Dome.

My Musical Journey
----------------------------

After a lifetime immersed in trance & various forms of electronic music, my creative journey began back in 2009 when I started learning to DJ. Not long after I began playing PsyTrance sets for the MerKaBa Tribe parties & festivals across Jersey & the Channel Islands, which felt amazing, seeing so many happy smiley people, dancing, laughing, connecting….I wanted more :)

Pretty soon after, I turned my focus towards my real passion, the wonderful world of psychedelic chill out. This music has done so much good for me, I struggle to put this into words. It has lifted my broken spirit more times than I can remember, in ways that feel deeply healing & nourishing. This was it, this was what I wanted to focus on, creating musical journeys that help heal & nourish us, help recalibrate & come back to ourselves in this crazy, crazy world. If I can even help one person then that is enough.

My ‘Dreamtime Diaries’ series of psybient / psychill mixes is a great example of this work, covering all facets of the psybient world. Around 2017, I lowered the tempo again, creating ambient journeys for use in mediation, yoga, treatments, ceremony or any other situation where genuine immersion into the moment is required.

Around 2012, I branched out into music production. In 2016 I released my debut EP, and have been creating weird or wonderful sounds since then. Also in 2016, I co-founded the Unity Tribe Collective which hosted local trance parties, with the intention of bringing the local community together. Currently I am enjoying playing a monthly chill out radio show for Widgeon Airwaves & am working towards my latest EP, which will hopefully be out later this year.
