After a few weeks of noisy podcasts this week we are back in the house vibe with Leftwing & Kody.  Their impact has been one of a steep ascendancy and it’s hard to believe they've only been around since mid-2012. The duo’s debut EP peaked at number 11 on the Beatport chart and the rest as they say is history. With an infectious sound that draws on swinging hi hats, low slung synths and masterly crafted basslines, and by joining the dots between the past and the present in their own unique way, Leftwing & Kody have since been back in the Beatport charts with releases on OFF Recordings and Exploited, all of which stayed in the Beatport top ten for over a month.

The new dirtybird compilation is loaded with 11 great tunes I have been collecting for over 6 months. Most notably, the Shiba San "OKAY" record has absolutely been destroying every dance floor known to man. We have lots of big birds like Justin Martin, Catz ‘N Dogz & Justin Jay on this, plus a ton of great newcomers and friends making appearances.

The dirtybird BBQ was founded as a small get together in Golden Gate Park thirteen years ago. We've had the same core line-ups and even the same chef, Grillson, since the beginning.  But three years ago, the free party in the park got too big and our permit was pulled.  The city of San Francisco could no longer handle the amount of people showing up to the event.  

Ever since then we have been trying to think of way to bring back the vibe of the BBQ park party. This year we finally put together a team that is able to take the BBQ party all across North America and Europe. We will be starting in Miami and ending in San Francisco so make sure to come grill and chill with us sometime this year. This compilation is a celebration of the O.G. dirtybird BBQ vibe.   I hope you enjoy the music.

Known for his fresh exploration of sound and his infectious groove, Demarzo has
had 100’s of release in the last 15 years including his own imprint, Pusher
Records, as well as PIV, No Art and Cecille to name a few.
You know a Demarzo track when you hear it.
He is no newcomer to the scene and has built an impressive discography of

releases over the past decade, which inevitably paved the way for his first-of-its-
kind producer school, DeMarzo EMC, launched in 2019. The school has been a

huge influence on new producers ever since.
Demarzo doesn’t follow trends and always aims to bring something fresh to the
scene, combining influences from house and disco with the underground.
Live, Demarzo is known for his rolling grooves and unique edits. Always digging
deep and writing new music on the road, you can always expect fresh tracks at
each of his shows. With sets at legendary venues like Fabric London, Space
Ibiza, and Rex Club Paris, along with multiple world tours, his live presence is
unmistakable.
