The ‘Lovers’ EP artwork features a macro shot of Staghorn Coral polyps taken at the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve in San Andrés Island by Juan Mora. A Colombian biologist, UW photographer, and expedition leader, Juan has dedicated his life and work to ocean advocacy. His camera serves as a powerful tool to share his passion and highlight the importance of protecting our planet.
Staghorn coral is built by thousands of tiny polyps - small, anemone-like animals with mouths surrounded by tentacles - that work together to form the foundation of coral reefs. Their survival is essential to ocean health, yet their future depends on effective conservation efforts.
