"This narrative is titled In Union. I've been using this set to explore my role as both actor and observer and nurture harmony within myself. The set is designed as an intentional listening experience. If you are able, listen sitting or laying down somewhere you can be undisturbed. It's ok if you listen and fall asleep. The point is to find relaxation 🙂.

For those interested in challenging themselves, this is also an exercise in focus and presence. The challenge is to focus on an intention and maintain presence through action and observation. These are both necessary tools to live in union.

Before you listen, set a singular intention. Intentions can act as a lens for the observer and a lode stone for the actor. When you pick your intention, seek that out in your observation of your experience. Let it guide you to act. Try to listen to the entire set while maintaining the pull of that intention in your actions and observations. Alternatively, instead of an intention, try focusing solely on your breath."

Demure Circle is an electronic music and art collective based in San Francisco.

At the center of Demure Circle is a community building sincere connections through art. We’re removing the barriers of pretension and ego disconnecting us from the experience of each other, music, dancing, and life. We are people finding ourselves through the art of life, or a life of art. Our narratives are told through the music we play and stories we paint.
