It's been a while since you've heard from me on Soundcloud, and thats because I have been focused on other things.

When Murderboat Productions approached me to play their Halloween party I jumped at the opportunity.  This crew makes amazing parties happen in here in Portland.

While I didn't get a recording of my set, I did record my runthrough of the tracks that I collected for this party earlier in the day, and this is that recording.  What you hear is what I played, with several extra tracks sprinkled in the mix.  This is a really high energy mixed full of tracks from really talented and hardworking people. I worked really hard on this mix and I'm really proud of it, and I hope you enjoy it.  It's available to download for free.  

What's next for me?  I don't know, I don't have anything lined up at the Moment.  I am available for your special event, so let me know if my sounds will enhance your event and I will evaluate the opportunity.

FREQUENCY UNDERGROUND INTERVIEW WITH WHATEVER, MAN:

How did you come up with your dj name: 
- The origin of “Whatever, Man” came from a phrase I say all the time, to the point where I get mocked for it. I also believe music should be fun so I wanted to pick a name that didn’t sound so serious. As a DJ, I like to play a wide range of music and it all depends on the scenario and the time and place, so when people ask me what do you play, it’s Whatever, Man. 

How and when did you get into djing: 
- I’ve been DJing for about a year. There’s a saying in the industry, if you hang out long enough you either become a promoter or a DJ. Turns out to be accurate and I ended up doing both. At the start I swore I wouldn’t DJ and instead I would get involved with every other aspect of the industry. I started DJing simply because I wanted to share music that I like. Being surrounded by DJs, my days of being a Spotify DJ came to an end so if I wanted to share music at parties, I needed to learn how to DJ. 

Who are your musical influences and what is your inspiration: 
- I get inspiration from all music, specifically from small events and friends that make music. My inspiration comes from my love of sharing music people probably haven’t heard. I love going to small festival gatherings, like Sonic Oasis, and I always leave feeling inspired by the wide range of styles and music people share. It’s truly a showcase of underground music and new sounds.

Describe your sound as a DJ:
- Gut Music!! It's not defined by one style of sound, beat, or tempo. Gut music is every moment where music transcended fear, annihilated pain, embraced sadness, and lifted indifference. Music is an expression of emotion so I try to deliver that while also having it be fun and upbeat. But really it’s, Whatever, Man and it’s dictated by the time, place, and scenario.

What does the future hold in store for you as an artist:
- As a DJ, it’s just to continue to have fun with it and use it as an outlet to express my emotions. My main area of focus is supporting artist and growing the community through artist management and event production. When it makes sense, I like to play small events, usually put on by friends and I specifically love opening and setting the vibe for the night!
