I "cleaned" an old harddrive today and found a 10 year Multitrack of one of my favourite Songs. I wrote the Song in 2012 and we did a rehearsal Room recording with cheap mic´s and Di´s then. I hadn´t the Gear, i hadn´t the ear at the Time so i made a remix today after lunch. The Original is here online too. I think the Remix Version is slightly better.

Mental War MADNESS Live Recorded And Mixed By Dennis Busch

This is a Studioproduction i did in our big Studio. We used a Harrison 32C Console (Preamps + EQ + Hardware Inserts while recording like UREI 1176´s, different Vari MU´s, elysia Gear^^ and much more) and for some Channels NEVE 1073´s.  Vocals are a ELA 251C over the Harrison and a SM7 with the 1073. I decided to make a break after i finished the mix of several weeks to master it myself with fresh ears. Masteringchain is SPL DMC, HERMES, GEMINI, PQ, IRON (parallel) and a bit of the elysia alpha for soft clipping.

DEAD REBELLION - Under Light - Kultube Studio Rec. by D. Busch

Awesome Liveband! Was very happy to have them in front of my Mixing desk. I recorded Multitrack on the Kultube Houseconsole and did a Hybrid mix in my professional Studio. My mix is more heavy than their prefered CD Sound but it illustrates very well the impression they have left on the KULTUBE Stage! The female Singer/percussionist had a very bad cold that day but she gave 100 % at the show! I hope they will be back!

The Vikings came, saw and DESTROYED! :-) Very cool Band from Norway. Lots of Phase Issues due to Mic Overspill but it Rocks! The miracle (Boombap , Alchemist , 2000´s Type Beat)

I was booked as FOH for a German Metal/Rock Festival. There was a Band for which i wasn´t supposed to do the Livesound at this day. So i hadn´t made my "Homework" and did know nothing about their Sound or Style. After the Battle with the first Acts i was ready to move away from the Desk during Dynamites Changeover. Shortly before their slot i was told "You will mix them!" F**K! I hadn´t checked Mic positions, there was no DI on the Bass only a crusty Backup Microphone. And there they were loose. I flew over the Desk but was conscious enough to hit the Multitrack Record Button on my Laptop cause....Damn! I realized the next 45 minutes will be überAWESOME! What a cool Band and they rock like HELL! Please check out "Dynamite" from Sweden! I recorded the Multitracks via my Midas M32 and mixed the Song in my Studio. I think i captured Dynamite´s Power very well.
