After a huge year throughout 2023 hosting some of the best Australian artists, we return in 2024 to kick it off in style. We've watched this particular project grow over the years, and evolve into a world class outfit. We are super pleased to present to you Moontide Ensemble to launch our 2024 DEPTH. PERCEPTION showcase series. 

Louis Tobin is the brains behind the Moontide alias. With years of experience under his belt and quality releases spanning an array of different electronic realms, Louis has found his distinct live sound in the world of Moontide. 

The Moontide project focuses on downtempo, world-like electronica, with a huge influence of culture's and sounds from around the globe. Having lived and travelled alot of different countries, Louis has collected and created a huge catalogue of varied sounds and uses these within his productions. 

The perfect blend of complex listening music with a real focus on composition, through to upbeat electronica with grooving basslines fit for the festival stage. 

In recent times the introduction of the Ensemble has come to fruition, featuring carefully selected artists to create a live electronic outfit Australia is proud to call their own. We were lucky enough to have the full band perform for us here at our Perception series. Special mention to Michael (Sax + Bass), Miles (Guitar + Vocals) & Nick (Percussion + Piano) for an outstanding performance for the episode. 

This particular set features mostly unreleased music from Louis, including his song titled "Home" which is from his upcoming album set for release in February.

Dave Leck is a Melbourne-based electronic music producer and performer known for his sublime and magical progressive sounds that blend elements of Progressive House, Melodic House, Breaks, and Chillout. With a dedication to delivering consistent, high-quality music that retains dance floor essence while staying true to his signature emotive sound and melodic sensibility, Dave has become a rising star in the industry.

Since 2016, Dave's productions have gained attention and support from industry heavyweights such as Solarstone, Hernan Cattaneo, Mariano Mellino, Andrea Cassino, Alec Araujo, Fernando Ferreyra, and Ricardo Piedra, among others. His original tracks "Shine", "Nowhere", and "One Place" have all entered the Beatport's top 100 charts, while his breaks track "Apex" grabbed the #20 spot.

Dave's production work has been released on a variety of record labels, including Sound Avenue, 3rd Avenue, Particles, and Soundteller Records, among many others. His immaculate attention to detail and unrivaled passion for his craft have impressed fans and critics alike, and his unique abilities provide a musical milieu that exists independently from the outside world, frozen in time where sonic expression forms a cohesive bond through the listener's elemental connection to his music.

In addition to his impressive original productions, Dave was also the winner of the Sound Avenue remix contest for the track "Madloch, Subnode - Hybreath". This accolade further showcases Dave's ability to reimagine and transform existing tracks into something truly special.

As Dave's talent continues to shine in bright, iridescent colours, his career continues to rise, with a slew of forthcoming releases in 2023. With his signature sound and dedication to his craft, Dave Leck is sure to become a household name in the electronic music scene.

German-born David Juno discovered electronic music in Jena before moving to New Zealand. Melody and organic sounds are at the core of the music he is passionate about, through different tempos and moods within the 4/4 realm of house and downtempo. David Juno concocts harmonious brews that enthrall listeners at large and small gatherings; clandestine woodland rendezvous; thundering, pitch-black basement blowouts, light-speed gigs aboard gleaming spaceships, and even interdimensional celestial soirées. He's a regular at XCHC and core member of Mary Hush. David Juno is a sonic conduit - his sets create atmospheric journeys that connect audiences through sonic storytelling, ranging from dark, spacious soundscapes to bright, energetic peaks that capture the full spectrum of human emotion and experience - with all the nuances in between.
