A familiar face to us at Depth, with a strong reputation both here in Australia and abroad, he has been continuing to impress with his unique style of house music. 

With releases on world renowned labels All Day I Dream, Watergate Records, Lo-Fi 45 and the newly formed Satya, we knew he was the perfect act to have perform for our new concept.

DEPTH. PERCEPTION with RETZA

One of Melbourne's true hidden gems, Dave Leck (soundcloud.com/daveleckmusic) joins us for the second episode of the series. Dave's sound is the perfect blend of smooth, melodic, progressive house with a balanced undertone of grooving basslines. As of late, making serious waves internationally, he has found himself releasing on labels such as 3rd Avenue, Emotional Content Records, inU and Particles to name a few. 

Listening closely to Leck’s music we knew he would fit the brief perfectly for our new concept and we had to have him on board. A true gentleman, with a mature ear for production, he will continue to impress both world-wide and here in Australia.

Funkform hailing from Cairns, Far North Queensland is one of DEPTH's not only favourite artists, but a true friend. Taking part in our early movements as a collective back in 2013, rolling through to our brand-new concept, DEPTH PERCEPTION based here in Victoria.   

A true master of progressive house, playing some of the biggest and best stages and festivals here in Australia, from coast to coast. With releases on labels such as Open Records, Meanwhile Recordings, Vapour and self-releasing numerous albums under his Funktober concept, Maddy continues to impress and deliver the finest electronic music.

DEPTH. PERCEPTION with FUNKFORM

Timmus takes us on a mystical journey through his signature sound for the fourth instalment of the Perception series. This is an extremely special episode to us hosting our first ever album showcase, letting Timmus present his musical productions live in a scenic outdoor environment. We were gifted with a moody and foggy morning in a forest location in the Victorian mountain ranges, which suited the soundtrack perfectly.

‘The Bridge’ has been in creation for the past couple of years, with Timmus stating it to be his best work to date. After listening closely to the entirety of the collection, we couldn’t agree more. Featuring smooth deep house grooves, weaving through quirky complex micro house, and followed by a flavoursome serving of upbeat minimal tech. This creation covers all styles Timmus represents so perfectly, and he does so in such style. A true performer while on stage, he does not disappoint with his eclectic dance and visual display of the music he is presenting to the world.

The album has just been released through Melbourne’s very own Smash Bang Records, with a string of album launch events to follow around the country. But here we present to you ‘The Bridge’ live in 4K from one of the countries favourite producers, Timmus.

DEPTH. PERCEPTION With TIMMUS

After a short hiatus to regroup and brainstorm at DEPTH. HQ, we return to our beloved Perception series with an artist pushing the boundaries with his own distinctive sound. Next up performing his original music is none other than Mount Mike. 

A well known and loved figure within the electronic music scene here in Australia, Mike is one of the brains behind Premium Tuna. A radio show presenting some of the best local artists and showcasing their music over the KISS FM airwaves. 

He has been living between Canada and Australia over the past few years, and honing his sound by blending deep, quirky tech house, with influences of acid and 2000’s electro. With a string of releases to his name, he has been working with some incredible artists from across the globe. Collaborating with names such as Boy Oh Boy, Savaggio, Fosters, Gilles Bernies, and attracting remixes from artists like Kellerkind, Joe Miller, Connor Mac, Sparrow and Barborossa, Rem Siman and more. 

A dark moody sunset was the backdrop for the performance, filmed right on the coastline here in Victoria. Mount Mike guides us through a very unique set list of his music. Plenty of unreleased tracks, featuring vocals, acid basslines, chopped percussion grooves, which move through various styles of his signature sound. So, strap yourself in as we embark on a journey to Mount Mike.

DEPTH. PERCEPTION Returns in 2025: Live Electronic Music from Mt Buller featuring Michael Stringer

We’re back for 2025 with a stunning new episode of our live music series, DEPTH. PERCEPTION, delivering one of the most scenic and emotionally charged performances we’ve ever captured. While it may have looked quiet at DEPTH. HQ, we’ve been preparing for our biggest year of Australian underground electronic music yet.

This latest drop — Episode 10 — is a true milestone. To celebrate, we’ve partnered with the iconic Mt Buller alpine resort in Victoria, Australia, to film an exclusive live electronic music performance at the mountain summit.

We’re beyond excited to welcome Michael Stringer to the DEPTH. lineup — a gifted multi-instrumentalist and live electronic artist from Australia. Fusing guitar, bass, saxophone, keyboards, and vocals into dynamic, genre-blurring sets, Stringer brings raw emotion, rich soundscapes, and unmatched stage presence. As he closes the chapter on his former project Quackers, this set marks the evolution into a singular, powerful new artistic identity.

Filmed at over 1,800 meters above sea level, featuring sweeping alpine views and the signature DEPTH. audiovisual experience.
