Aimed at showcasing more contemporary luminaries with industrial post-techno inclinations through its own channels, England-hailing Depth.Request records presents a second installment in its tumultuous Hostile Responses & Provocations series. The digital release, in vain of previous episode, offers six cuts that vary from contemplative, ritualistic explorations to direct-drive, four-to-the-floor juggernauts, forged by different artists spread across European continent who showcase distinctly separate approach towards production and are mostly new to the label.

In what is Nigh/T\mare's culminative piece, voices from the dark, obscured and foreshadowing, pave a pathway towards Armagheddon's ruthless, apocalyptic kicks that strike indiscriminately and stochastically; devastating the scenery in manner of four horsemen, they are accompanied by trailing aftershocks, occasional howls, fragmented whispers and enshrouding layers of imperial ambiance instilling a sense of despondency first, and soon after that, doom.

Today we present a Q & A by the Spanish label SOIL records. SOIL has remained solid and prolific during the most challenging times of the pandemic, releasing first-rate material, both digital and wax, thriving in the music spectrum. Laboratory of Noises was founded by Limbus Puerorum and The Outgrinder. It is a contemporary label developing experimental music that spans four/four and irregular rhythms, broken beats and ambient sounds by manipulating and tweaking the intricacies of the realm of Noise art. 
Laboratory of Noises’ exploration of music: 
The assembly of sounds commonly perceived as unpleasant or painful stands in apparent contradiction to the conventional aesthetic of what music is supposed to be. Laboratory of Noises is interested in this contradiction, and seeks to break it down through its musical output. 
Characterized by a dense atmosphere made of minimalist drones, harsh growls, and screaming, distorted voices, The Lab constructs a dark and dissonant universe using prolonged feedback effects, shrill squeaks and sub-bass pulse hums created with synthesizers. Deeply atonal, there are no conventional melodies or rhythms. The output’s structure, its meaning, effect on the listener and the different characteristics of the tracks establish a link with the musical equivalent of destruction, entropy and havoc.

Limbus Puerorum is the side project born in 2017 of Sinus O. Resident of the Constant Value collective in Seoul. 
Native of France and of Taiwanese origin, Eric is a musician and audio engineer. His music is distinct, percussive with frenetic rhythms, he develops experimental, noise and dark sounds with intoxicating paces and very thought-provoking.

Premiere: Verset Zero - Maleficus (Ryuji Takeuchi Remix) [Intervision]

After an annum of repose, London-based and industrial-clique-doted Depth.Request offers to consideration what's promised to be the first volume in a series titled Hostile Responses & Provocations. Boasting an international lineup, this post-punk, EBM-leaning VA release revolves predominantly at a pace of 135 BPM and features occasional outbursts of indiscernibly distorted lyrics throughout its six rough-hewed, distinctly industrial cuts.

Setting a brooding but aptly instigating tone, No.Ba's opener Bourbon Drive rolls out with unhastily tumbling percs, widely mounting pads and grungy bass cast behind roaring outcries of a rather aggravated vocalist.

Positing that Hate's A Loaded Gun, Istigkeit then continues by elevating velocity, hardening its relentless kicks and violating the rest of the spectrum with walls of sandy hats and whooshes occasionally intersected with looped utterances.

Cranking the cacophony handle to eleven in his wildly syncopated Shug that creates sense of participating in a DIY rave taking place at the base of an erupting volcano, War Scenes programs the drums to run at a double time next to speeding open hats and a condensed, pressurizing sub level.

As last days of s.e.x.'s-fathered and Espectra Negra-featured Phallic Mother starts off, one could be forgiven for thinking that a record with sirens of the apocalypse have been put under the needle of God's antique doomsday gramophone; breathing room is nowhere be found on this anarchic monstrosity on an aural beatdown where screeching and screaming combat to outperform the relentless drumline in gain.

The plate's penultimate suggestion Never Be Silent sees NX1 participant Samot coming well to his own through the use of quartertime-turning-halftime kicks, dirty bass sheets, eerily exhaling stabs, elongated shrills and other percussive arrangements forged seemingly of sheer noise conditioned to occupy higher ranges.

Closing on a comparatively restrained, stealthy crawler DXS, Blasted lastly showcases his knack for conjuring contemplative sound environments where UK bass can flirt with techno and percussive elements of non-overlapping positions are given equal footing in terms of establishing rhythms and carrying the sonic narrative forward without a need for restraint to permanent patterns of behavior.
