Seoul-based Beyond the Bridge announces the Euclidean Doorway EP by Spekki Webu - the first-ever full solo EP by the Dutch Mirror Zone head honcho. Run by the French artist Pyramid of Knowledge (aka KOP32), the label provides the ideal breeding ground for the Delft-based producer to revisit his tekno roots. The two know each other from the free party era and share a predilection for mental and fast-paced soundscapes. After Australian talent on the rise Kaisei released his Relic EP on the label last year, Spekki Webu opens the next chapter with an inventive interpretation of contemporary tekno and psyche-heavy techno with the Euclidean Doorway EP.

Like a hydraulic machine chamber, the A-side kicks off with the broken beat rhythms of ‘Celtron Lifeform’, gradually evolving into a slow-paced pounding bassline. As time passes, ‘00.4FG (Temple Version)’ drags you into the next phase with accelerating energies and ancient echoing vocals. On the B-side, a full mental mode is entered. ‘Photic Shift’ kicks in and takes over the mind with an introspective occult gathering - making the boundaries of speed and light dissolve. While the ego is detached, ‘Dimension 5’ is reached where reduced rhythms and urgent leading highs steer the trip into a full circle.

Once you’ve entered the Euclidean Doorway, there is no way out.

One year ago, the French artist planted the seed of this sonic journey with his set at The Memoir by Hypnus Records. Now, that seed has fully blossomed, unveiling a collection of new creations. Eight tracks that define his sonic universe, where DnB, halftime, and tribe intertwine in an atmosphere of hypnotic textures and pulsating synths.

The journey begins with Wetlands, drawing us into a mist-laden landscape where solitary birds glide through the sky and the dense humidity clings to every breath. In the dim light, a deep, enveloping sound spreads through the air, merging with electrified gusts of wind. As we move forward, distant echoes of other life forms emerge, thriving in the space between water and earth.

The first heartbeats stir in Mud. Continuing the path set by its predecessor while subtly layering new elements, the track immerses us in mystical soundscapes, unlocking portals to uncharted dimensions. Percussive fragments, scattered across the stereo field, begin to surface tentatively, paving the way for Clay, where the hypnotic progression deepens.

With Spores, the rhythm evolves into 4x4, maintaining the ethereal essence that has permeated the album from the start. Percussion elements phase in and out, leading seamlessly into Trimitic, a stripped-down yet profound exploration of minimalist Tribe.

The album builds in intensity, reaching its peak with Fungal Network, an electrifying burst of energy crafted to set the dancefloor ablaze. Then, The Consciousness of Plants slows the pace once more, introducing a whispering voice and a synth that oscillates fluidly, pulling us into its meditative sway.

The journey culminates with Reset, where the tempo eases, and the narrative comes full circle. The echoes of birds return, this time illuminated by the clarity of a new dawn. With Liquid DnB rhythms and textures, Solma concludes his debut album with a farewell that lingers in the mind, resonating long after the final note fades.
