The Story So Far "Heavy Gloom"

This was the 2nd song I ever wrote! This version though is a re-recorded version of the original song I did because the original song I wrote was wrote on a very basic setup and the quality was not very good. This version I used VST digital amps with Amplitube 2.0. I however I wrote this song before I started using addictive drums so the drums are Ezdrummer Drumkit From Hell, I'd like to go back and re-record the drums with Addictive Drums and then I think I'd have a good quality song here! 

Dedication

This is the first song I have written since I left Vermont! Its a work in progress, not my best stuff, but not for lack of ideas. Actually too many ideas, I need to learn that just because I write a riff and like it, doesn mean I have to add it! Song needs to be more concise!

This is Part 1 & 2 of the song I did, Temple Run. Its has a really nice clean intro and Part 2 is soft melodic rhythm. I dont write many of these, but I think this song came really good.

Make use of modal changes from Phrygian to Aeolian. Some borrowed notes from Locrian. Originally solo was back and forth between C minor and C Harmonic minor, but ended up just writing it all in Aeolian.

I do tend to get a little excited about a new song, but this one I think is very different. And by that I mean VERY GOOD!! I've been writing so many songs because I have learned so many new techniques and been trying them out. So its been quantity over quality. But I'm comfrotable now with all that I've learned and now its time to slow things down, and get deep down into the details! This is a start of that process!

"Dark" in C Harmonic Minor

I dedicate this to all my Veteran friends. I tried to make it feel like a you're taking a journey through this song, much like the long journey we all experience in the military. I also tried to convey a sense of nostalgia. Hopefully it works.
