With a #1 Hype Machine record under his belt, San Francisco's Lane 8 has been a star of the 2013 underground with support from Majestic Casual, BBC Radio 1's B.Traits and tastemakers across the board. 

Off the back of a release on French Express and "Be Mine", one of the many highlights on #1 iTunes Dance album "Anjunadeep 05", Lane 8 aka Daniel Goldstein returns to the label with two classy deep grooves that merge his unique melodic textures with a new vocal leaning.

Sounding like a cross between Tale Of Us, French Express and Cyril Hahn, lead track "The One" is a slow-burning, deep melodic gem with Patrick Baker's vocals adding an extra layer of catchiness. With early support coming from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 and The Magician on his infamous Magic Tape series, "The One" already looks like a future Lane 8 classic.

Showcasing Daniel's versatility, the more indie-pop flavoured "Nothing You Can Say" features the wistful, uplifting vocals of hotly tipped songstress Lucy Stone alongside a melodic, summery electronic dance backing. 

After the success of Sonnentanz, one of 2013's biggest dance tracks, Klangkarussell turn in a monster of a remix of "The One". Having built up a reputation for delicate feel-good melodies, they showcase a much darker side on this one, with a no nonsense beast full of raw bass and distorted vocals.

Japanese born producer Hokuto Sato has created an astonishing EP for the next Neovinyl release. Featuring an eclectic collection of elements ranging from Jazz to abstract house sounds, everything comes together to make this work a piece of art called YEARS.

Hokuto is trying to find out his own way to treating carefully Jazz and House. His attention goes on sampling, based on something we can call "momentum sounds" composed on beautiful vibes, which exist in the smaller details of sounds.

These 4 tracks are inspired by a wide range of styles from the '50s soulfulness, '60s cool and modern Jazz to '70s spacy one coming from South America.

We hope you feel true, timeless values of House Music because that's all why we came to House Music.

Vincenzo returns to Dessous Recordings with something a little special. 'Merry Go Round' features the stunning vocal talents of Language aka Kaori Kaneko, a haunting, drifting and highly affecting piece of music that sounds like nothing else. 

Kaori already released two albums on Japanese Crue-L Records as Kaori and three albums with her band Language on Madoromi / Atari Productions and was also featured on the Chi Chi Squads classic 'Treat Me Right'. 

Built on dreamlike, evolving pads and textures, the vocals are reminiscent of the best work of Tracey Thorn, rising and falling over the 7-minute duration of the original mix. After some minutes a crisp, chugging, mid-tempo beat develops and lifts the track yet further, a moment perhaps best enjoyed at sunrise.

The Reprise Mix is a totally beatless mix, emphasising the pads, guitar and piano work.  

The third track sees Axel Boman on remix duties, who primes it for the dance-floor with a loopy, hypnotic rework that retains the original character but adds a visceral, gritty quality for the dancers.

An early stand out of our 2014 releases, “The One EP” firmly established Lane 8 as one of the most exciting young artists around, picking up heavy support from Pete Tong, The Magician and Tensnake.

Following the heavy-hitting Klangkarussell Remix that featured on the EP, Matt Lange, Baio and Bhok come together on a diverse, genre spanning remix package.

Matt Lange takes “The One” on a techy journey, twisting the searing bass of the original into a subtle, hypnotic melody, surrounded by trademark Matt Lange atmospherics and the infectious vocal.

“Nothing You Can Say” gets the remix treatment from Baio, who as well as being a Grammy winning member of Vampire Weekend is also making a name for himself with his solo productions on Greco-Roman and Future Classic. A quirky blend of stuttering clicks and warm flowing bass, his mix once again brings the gorgeous vocal of Lucy Stone to the fore.

Rounding off the package is a remix from up and coming UK producer Bhok, who’s early productions have garnered him the support of XLR8R. He brings his bass heavy style to “The One”, creating a complex low end roller.

Here we are with the last chapter of Kruse & Nuernberg's excellent debut album  "Let's Call It A Day"'.
Released last fall on Lazy Days, the album was cherished by the press and topped the digital sales charts of various genres from Deep House to Nu Disco and Chill Out. Remixers so far came in from such great talents as Spirit Catcher, Shur-I-Kan and Nathan G.

For this special edition, we requested the talent of Mario Basanov, Wolf and Lamb and Label Boss, Fred Everything to remix their favorite track from the album. Mario Basanov has been turning heads lately with his unique blend of well crafted Deep House. Here, he takes the beautiful Leaves Falling featuring Nathalie Claude and makes it his own with an almost Innervisions-esq ambience. Timeless music indeed.

New York's Wolf + Lamb need no introduction. They've been at the forefront of the House Renaissance of the past few years with their unpredictable mix of house, disco in a balearic style. On this remix, they kept the Folk/Pop vibe of the original intact while adding some nice synths and minimal drum arrangement to leave more space for the song to breath. Don't let the smoothness of the music fool you. This baby's got bottom when played loud!

Lastly, Fred Everything comes with his own interpretation of People Like Us, using the original elements to lift the original by adding more drums, keys and effects and extending the previously short nature of this understated song.


As we Call It A Day on this beautiful project, we want to thank you for listening and supporting this album. It's been a real labor of love for us, we hope you enjoyed the trip.

The Petrichor project is the latest incarnation of Simon Stokes and on this EP he returns to a hardware-driven sound creating tactile, organic atmosphere within this immaculately produced output. The name Petrichor refers to the smell of rain after a period of dryness and this unique, specific occurrence offers evocative memory and imagery to anyone who thinks on the meaning. The name is therefore important as many of the ideas conjured up through this impression are relevant to the musical style demonstrated on the EP. A sense of nostalgia, an ethereal and reflective quality and a connection with elemental atmosphere are themes that permeate the music, along with a strong rhythmic core, offering an innovative and expressive new sound. 

Title track On Tides opens the EP and is introduced with notes circling around a central melodic motif. Developed carefully, this part of the track dominates as it builds. The subtle evolution of synth and percussion elements bolsters the track as it rises higher and higher, honing in on a drop. However, the track recedes before the point it traditionally may go over the edge, and begins to build again. The tides of the title are mirrored in the instrumental cycle and the dynamic ebb and flow. Each of the parts introduced is dealt with delicately and expertly.

Nukumori is the next track on the EP and it starts with more prominent percussion. Atmospheric synths come in to fill up the soundscape and the track slowly broadens out into an engrossing sound. The field recordings and vocal samples afford this track a unique, original quality where the dynamics are once more well controlled. The end result is an invigorating and intriguing track that connects emotionally as well as sonically. 

Royston Rain completes this diverse range of tracks offering more unique and highly engaging content. Full and interesting field recordings provide an enchanting entry into the track. The flowing, aqueous noises infer a sense of narrative, as images of floating under rainforest canopies are brought to mind. The melody lines and synth are perfectly sparse and beats are brought in to add impetus at the right moments. This is a stimulating track and well poised, even incorporating some electronic sounds towards the end to frame everything and draw the sounds on into another style and another track. 

This EP and new Petrichor direction are exciting prospects for the young Glaswegian and marks a definite maturity in production technique . A range of quality music is packed into these three tracks making this an EP not to be missed for its scope and unique style.

Some of you are probably asking themselves: Where the fuck has Patrick Chardronnet been the past years?? It's not like he has not been productive. Patrick has been very busy and we are sure most of you have heard his works, even though you had no idea they were his. 

Next to Patrick’s life as a world-travelling music-producer and live-act, he is a well respected sound designer, who has worked for virtually all big german car brands like Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Audi or Volkswagen during the last years. 

But now Patrick is back with a new release on Connaisseur. The style is different from his previous works, more reduced, deep and timeless, but in a certain way totally himself... a real Chardronnet.

Another (more or less) round catalogue number, another Various Artists EP on Uncanny Valley: This time it’s a full package with four true club bangers (at least to our ears...).

On the A-side we have the heart warming label debut of the Polish producer Eltron John. He contributes his remix for “Varsovie” (French for Warsaw) by Brodka who is a decent Pop star in Poland. The remix came into being when Eltron John took part in a Red Bull Music Academy event in Warsaw. Brodka was collaborating with Red Bull on a series of open airs shows at that time. So, one thing led to another and the result is an irresistible catchy tune that also features Eltron John’s very own voice over Brodka’s vocal line.
Another addictive track is Sandrow M’s remix for “Falling Off” by Alex Ketzer from Cologne. Alex Ketzer approached Uncanny Valley for his book project about his favourite labels. While doing this, he sent a copy of his “Falling Off”-EP on good old cassette format. Sandrow couldn’t resist and created a wonderful remix that still keeps to the atmosphere of the original but makes things a little bit more danceable with its punchy drumming in typical Sandrow M- style.

On the flipside there is Cuthead’s overdue return to the label. The whipping acid line and synth chords along with the rough drumming turn “Splenda Daddy” into a real floor bomb. Don’t forget to do things wrong from time to time. Finally Jacob Stoy’s “Inspektor” rides on a pulsating bass and those sweet bells until great strings bring things to a peaceful end.
