For the third summer running, the masters of all things deep and deadly at Steve Bug's Dessous Recordings label come up trumps with an anthology of house gems tailor-made for lazy afternoons and sultry nights. It's a collection packed with highlights from veteran and up- and-coming producers alike.

Working under his new Walking Shadow alias, Milan scenester Geronimo Gaiaschi sets the tone with the laidback vibes of 'WithoutYou' - perfect for cocktails at your favourite Balearic beach bar. Mihai Popoviciu mi- nes the dark sexy funk from Phonique & Acumen's massive 'The Moment'. The Unhottest, Jona and Alex Blaxx dish up expertly layered concoctions that tickle the earbuds - masterclasses in balance, structure and form.

Elsewhere, Parisian Andrade captures hazy sunset vibes, balancing cycling arpeggios and a bubbling bass- line, while Echonomist explores tougher timbres with a more dancefloor-oriented acid-tinged jam. One-time Masters At Work apprentice Alix Alvarez adds int- ricate layers and deftly handled effects to Andre Lo- demann's 'Eyes Wide Open' and Alex Niggemann serves up two aces under the pseudonym C'est Moi, the spoken-word 'This Song' being a special highlight.
