I met Matt during an airport pickup in the direction of Twisted Frequency. I got curious about what he does and went to listen to him. I couldn't avoid jumping in the backstage and got mesmerised by his performance. Since then I don't miss the opportunity to watch/ hear his sets if he is around. I found something really special about the way he condenses and releases energy in the form of sound waves that he creates in the moment from scratch straight to you.

He will be one of the many amazing artists we will host at the Summer Technival in December with a full live set.

Ambient leftfield @ Dojo, Twisted Frequency

DESTROY WITH SCIENCE is Aotearoa based Matt McKegg’s response to the overly produced, studio-focused electronic music so common on dancefloors these days. Instead, he’s taking it back to the roots of dance music, finding the vibe entirely in the moment, right there in the room. 

Matt performs using a modular / hardware synth setup, live sequenced via custom software running on a Raspberry Pi. Prepare for some eartingle infused analog techno bangers and the odd dancefloor nostalgia remix to keep things interesting.
