“Killing Sh*t! Working like an immigrant.” SURF Spodie is NOT your average player! Growing up in Inglewood, CA cultivated a source of hunger that most do not possess. With a chip on his shoulder, SURF Spodie has begun to carve out a lane of his own. To separate himself from the trendy rap style of many of todays “All-Sound-The-Same” rappers, SURF Spodie channels his inner Lil’ Wayne throughout his punchline-heavy mixtape titled “Sorry For The Wave.” The concept of his project is simple: NO BEAT IS SAFE! His selection of songs range from Madeintyo’s “Skateboard P” to Outkast’s “Elevators.” The constant flurry of bars and metaphors are a brilliant contrast of the original songs, and a testament to the fact that he is ready to compete with the majors. Now residing in San Diego, SURF Spodie and the SURF Collective are planning to propel the city to new heights, and bring the Hip-Hop culture to the forefront.
