Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is the development of a blood clot in a major deep vein in the leg, thigh, pelvis, or abdomen, which may result in impaired venous blood flow and consequent leg swelling and pain.

Scott C. Woller, Director, Thrombosis Clinic, Intermountain Medical Center, Murray and Professor of Medicine, University of Utah, gives us an overview of the condition.

I collaborated with Luc Cage, not to be confused with Luke Cage. Luc is a not so well known sound engineer interested in the intersection of sound, space and mood, heavily influenced by the world of Musique concrète, drawing influence from the likes of Luc Ferrari, Arnold Schönberg and John cage, Luc wanted to provide a tension of maximalism and randomness teetering on the edge of anxiety, with a mild human touch.

I contributed a set of field recordings that were re-imagined into loops as well as some sampled harp, delicately chopped stretched and reworked with the help of NI reaktor, after a few months wading through the world of hardware synthesis, it was refreshing to return to the computer, DAW and manual sound design that I started with so many years ago.
