In 40 years of loving classical music, string quartets always seemed a bit chaotic to me; even structured, delicate, mannered Haydn, Mozart, seemed, to me, on the verge of flying out of control. Here is a bass quartet (I like the lower tones of the bowed instruments) that flirts with - no, hugs and squeezes - chaos.

I started with music in the 60s. I was part of several bands.
While my blood boiled to the rhythm of the best Rock & Roll, a tsunami called The Beatles came from Liverpool. That tide lasted twenty years during which the best musicians of the 20th century appeared.
I was there !!!
In the mid-seventies I completely abandoned music. I didn't play a single note for the next fifty years. And now, a little older, I play music in my studio again with more enthusiasm than ever. I think I never should have left it... It gives me life.....

I started studying classical guitar in Seattle with Steven Novacek and continued with other teachers and on my own for about ten years. I love just about all music, especially Brazilian, especially guitar, but music of all instruments and from all ages. I've written two novels. Presently I help run Emma's BBQ in Seattle with my wife Tess Thomas; she is a great singer and we like to go out and jam with other Seattle musicians. I love SoundCloud ... so much talent all over!

🎸We are a five-piece studio band mixing different genres and influences into our own sound.

The band has existed since 2015, but we only started publishing on SoundCloud and other platforms in 2024. Many of the songs we’ve released so far are reboots of tracks we wrote years ago, in case you were wondering how we managed to release over 100 tracks in one year. Before 2024 we only published on our own blog (which is now gone, replaced by a new one we barely use), so our audience was limited to a few hundred friends and acquaintances.
We’re not professional musicians! We have other jobs, and we don’t even consider ourselves musicians, at most entertainers and awareness-raisers.
