The adventure of a lifetime.
On the next million steps for mankind.
Years of planning and training and prepping and now I’m here and I have left you alone.
It’s time to come home.

Two week long, days and nights.  
Time drags on underneath the lights.
Working all the time mining crater ice,
And keeping the vacuum on the outside. 
I’m living at my job.  Even free time isn’t free.
Every day’s a workday, and Friday’s but a dream.
But soon I’m coming home to you.

Watching home just hanging there.
Months of constantly cleaning the luna dust from the regilith filters in my tin can. 
It’s all that I am.

To my lips I hold my fist. 
For luck I blow a kiss. 

The clouds begin to peel. 
The scene is revealed. 
My rover makes a squeal.

I switch to landing sequence. 
It parks in perfect silence. 
Rover climbed up the side fence. 
While I checked my finance.
