The Enigma

The “Hang in Balance Remixes” release stems from the original creation, “Lisn”, by London’s eclectic composer, Daniel Waples and friends, aka “Hang in Balance”. This release extends into full illumination by showcasing mind-boggling electronic remixes freshly created by seven innovative bass, experimental, and downtempo producers dispersed from the West Coast and Mid Coast of the U.S. nation: DubCOliNG, Animatronix, Conscious Kalling, GRiDWORK, Jnana, Subaqueous, Halo Refuser, and NAs-ja. 

Each auditory treasure withholds within itself its own story, emotion, and direction, all having aligning intentions that Daniel Waples too reveals - a universal peace connection through one’s own core entity. These sonic experimentations reveal cutting-edge sound design, magnetising bass lines, innovative composition, lustrous beats, textured rhythms, and immeasurable depth in a downtempo setting. These pulsating sound triggers will flow seamlessly through your being and reveal a fresh new atmosphere of feeling. 

Hang in Balance’s (Daniel Waples) original “Lisn” creation offers us nine limitless collaborations of ten awe-inspiring musicians/instrumentalists rising from continents across the world. A highly spiritual and mystical journey is found within this creation which reveals a gateway into a passionate expression of celtic dynamic rhythms, stretching from sonic inspirations through the lands of Peru, into a canvas of esoteric Kabalistic melodies, fused into other instinctive world African beats. This universal connectedness of chillout tribal beats fused with today’s most electrifying underground electronic bass production is a hang drum of flowing experimentation of creative amalgamations. From London to the West Coast, we are proud to present this next level exploration of thought-provoking and invigorating soundscapes.

Kalki Koechlin, Bollywood actor and slam poetess writes a heady and provocative piece titled 'Noise', that explores, celebrates, berates, rips apart and puts together that word, which forces a listen, and not a hear.

Welcome to the age of noise.  From the 'divine cacophony' of loudspeakers piercing the airwaves in the name of religion, to the soul-jarring discordance of peak hour traffic; from the unmusicality of news headlines warring for eye-balls, to the IQ numbing racket we subject our brains to on social media; noise surrounds us.  And in this most unmelodious symphony, 'we the people' are the players, the instruments and the audience, incessantly filling up our silences, with more noise.  Written in her classic crisp, rhythmic and onomatopoeic style, Kalki's powerful words are a silent plea for individuality to break its opinion shackles, and for a generation to discern between what is 'disturbance' and what is 'true voice'.  But most importantly, this poem makes us eerily aware of a very human discomfort we feel with deafening silences, which may be an alarming by-product of this era of distractions.

Kalki and Blush collaborate for the second time after 'The Printing Machine', to bring you another 'Unblushed' that is nothing less than an audio-visual experience.  And what better occasion than World Music Day to make an ode to the inherent melody of silence.

Dhruv's music stems from childhood experiences as well as feelings of great anguish and grief. Having lost his father at a young age, many of his songs focus on how he has grown and the stories that come with it. Inspired greatly by his immediate surroundings, he began writing music as a therapeutic respite. His emotional connection to his family and loved ones gives him every reason to tell stories that Inspire.
