Label's Note:
The simurgh is depicted in Iranian art as a winged creature in the shape of a bird, gigantic enough to carry off an elephant or a whale. It appears as a peacock with the head of a dog and the claws of a lion, sometimes however, also with a human face. Iranian legends consider the bird so old that it had seen the destruction of the world three times over. The simurgh learned so much by living so long that it is thought to possess the knowledge of all the ages. We hope this mythological benevolent creature could be a hope and a a guide in our dark times.

Born in June 1994 in Iran, Sasan, also known as DSM, is a rising star in the electronic music industry. As a DJ, producer, and electronic music enthusiast, he draws inspiration from his personal experiences and emotions to create tunes that resonate with his audience.

Sasan's journey in music production began with mashups, but his hard work and dedication eventually paid off when he had his first output released on record labels such as Ready Mix Records and Capital Heaven. He then expanded his repertoire to include experimental and ambient music, genres that allowed him to express his deepest feelings.

DSM's talent and dedication to his craft have not gone unnoticed. His track "NOWRUZ" was featured on the album "VISIONS OF DARKNESS (IN IRANIAN CONTEMPORARY MUSIC)," released by Cold Spring Records, which received critical acclaim. Additionally, his EP "Abstracted," released by Futurist record label, caught the attention of well-known magazines such as Magnetic, Lodown, and Zenith Magazines.

In September 2019, DSM released his latest EP, "Dernière," which reflects his last days in his home country, Iran. This emotional and poignant EP was released by Husa Sounds and showcases Sasan's talent for creating music that speaks to the heart.

As DSM continues to create and share his music with the world, his unique style and emotive tracks are sure to continue captivating audiences and establishing him as a talented and influential artist in the electronic music industry.
