Medellin-based duo Dem Boyz return to Unnamed & Unknown with another profound three-track EP titled ‘Zig Zag’.

With releases on Kubbo Records, High Quality, SexAppeal and XtraTrax, Colombian DJ/Producer duo Dem Boyz are back on Unnamed & Unknown with another impressive offering. Spanning three freshly-squeezed dancefloor weapons, their ‘Zig Zag’ EP blends the label’s signature sonics with their unique South American flair from start to finish.

Opening with the title cut, ‘Zig Zag’ thrusts you into upbeat drums and fizzing percussion alongside a catchy rhythmic sub-bass melody. Its catchy vocal hook brings the track to life with unique character, cutting through playful fills and atmospheric FX that give it an endlessly rolling terrace feel. 

‘Pirouletta’ comes next, bringing more undulating grooves and driving cadence from the outset. Rippling percussive layers create a tidal swing in the mix whilst a swirling vocal hook floats the track through several quirky, atmospheric breaks and thumping drops.

‘Dew Shake’ closes the release with more pulsating movement and low-frequency potency throughout. Building around another looping vox and creative tonal percussive fills, the tracks focus on flamboyant instrumentality and funky melodies make the perfect partner for its core of groovy nuances. 

Dem Boyz’s ‘Zig Zag’ EP is out on 9th February 2023 on Unnamed & Unknown.

Juli De Alonso, Spanish producer and DJ, debuts on Crazy Nutz Music with his new EP ‘Fog’, a work that demonstrates his ability to fuse tech house and minimal tech with his unique style. Recognised in the national electronic scene, Juli has managed to establish himself as one of the most relevant artists in his genre, standing out in local clubs and festivals for his ability to keep the dancefloor in constant movement.
Throughout his career, Juli has signed with labels such as AND DANCE, TECHAWAY, HAPPY TECHNO, DUFF MUSIC, AFTER ROOM RECORDS and STRICTLY RECORDS, showing a constant evolution in his musical proposal. He has played in prominent clubs such as Pacha Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, City Hall and Bora Bora Ibiza, and has been backed by renowned national and international DJs such as Paco Osuna, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati, who have supported his sound in their sets and performances.
The EP ‘Fog’ includes two tracks that reflect the essence of his style: a powerful mix of groove and minimalism. The first track, ‘Fog’, stands out for its vibrant energy, with a solid base of deep bass and precise percussion that invites continuous movement. The second track, ‘Formy’, complements the first, maintaining the same level of intensity and dynamism. Both tracks are designed to keep the energy of the dancefloor going, with atmospheres that unfold throughout each beat and transitions that flow naturally between them.
In addition to his career as a producer, Juli De Alonso is A&R Talent Scout for Crazy Nutz Music, which demonstrates his involvement in the label's development and his vision for the future of electronic music. In this role, Juli is in charge of scouting new talent and ensuring that the label's catalogue remains fresh and high quality, which reinforces his link to the label and his ability to connect with the national electronic scene.
