A musical dream ranging from Vangelis to Mike Oldfield's happier tunes. Very solid and clear sound design. I like your title. Normally I am not into these melodic themes but it kept my attention all the way which is quite something considering the genre and the almost 7 minutes that it lasts. My compliments!

This is a nice exploration of MX. Different from my expectations of that synth. I really enjoy the calm beginning here.

This is a fun, folk-song-esque experimentation. Feels a bit like I'm watching a documentary about Appalachian Americans being ill-treated by their local government and big corporations.

I really enjoy the addition of the hurdy-gurdy, although it doesn't sound a ton like a hurdy-gurdy to me.

That's a lovely piano sound. Probably my favorite sound of the piece. I think the mood is really lovely (I like those background sighs), but the actual sound design of the pipe and the hurdy isn't my favorite. Generally a strong piece, though.

I like that exchange between the left and the right side here!

This track went by pretty quickly -- kept interesting throughout, overall good sounds but I think the "hurdy gurdy" I felt could sit a bit better in the mix somehow, probably just some minor high frequency eq in parts

I modified Jasinski's cymbal and a couple of Bowman's snares. I used a bit of Bowman's box guitar and TNS' (TheNeverScene) guitar. I used a lot of a delay tuned guitar. IV! showed me how to tune it with one patch. But because it has a glide I had to make it one note per instance and then use JS note filter. That's extreme patch borrowing for me. Finally NeverBeenInARiot mentioned the Reaverb "trick" that is used on the cymbal. So a big thanks to those OSCers.

For this OSC Any Synth Challenge, I chose the PS-3300, a beautiful software emulation of a late 1970s analogue polyphonic synthesizer from KORG. Cherry Audio developed this soft synth. Every sound you hear was created using the PS-3300. I tried to create an overall sound that matches the capabilities of a studio production in 1978. This is in honour of this beautiful synthesizer and its creators.

My Submission for August 2025 OSC. 7 Tracks, powered by FLStudio and Quilcomm's Trout. Maximus for loudness.

Based on various incarnations of the Trautonium - a Synth Design originating in the 1930's. I chose Trout because I've wanted to try my hand as something very old and very strange with the plugin. And oh my - it's strange.

Cover is AI generated this time - Colors and some things fixed/added afterwards. My blender skills aren't THAT good. 

Early synths defined some of the sounds and vibes that powered Science Fiction, so I went with something that evoked a dangerous and strange job in space. Enjoy!
