Andreas Brunner is a producer from Austria who produces heart-adapted techno music. He has made his personal task to follow the call of honesty in order to get a feeling of life. And so he hopes to communicate this with his music.

Powerful sound that moves the audience.

No matter if you produce music in a studio or in the dj booth: Djs and producers aim at moving the crowd. With this concept in mind, Andreas Brunner constantly strives for pushing his music.

Within the past few years Brunner has already played in many renowned clubs throughout the globe such as the “Spartacus Club” in Marseille, the “R19” in Berlin and all across the Austrian federal states as for example Tyrol, Salzburg, or Vienna.

At the age of fourteen he teamed up with his brother and founded a cultural club with the intention of bringing about change in the Austrian music landscape. There they tried to create a platform for less known artists to present their music. Three years later, after having already played and organised numerous events, Andreas Brunner has gotten himself a perfect sound system and computer on which it was finally possible to create and compose HIS sound.

In 2011, both brothers were nominated for the Austrian Newcomer Award. Since then his productions have made it into the top charts. The duo “Microtrauma” showed their support and so Andreas took the fourth place in the FAZE magazine dj poll.

First official vinyl releases followed on Leutral Records (Leipzig) with international headliners such as Alexander Kowalski, Heiko Laux, Justin Berkovi, Estroe, Matt Star and Patrick Kunkel.

After focusing merely on playing around with sounds for a longer period of time, more releases followed. His debut album was released on the Berlin-based record label “Maripoza Records”. Andreas Brunner made Techno unique and outstanding by creating a totally new music genre. There was no name which could represent his style and so he coined the genre “Hearttechno”. It was all about creating Techno melodies and beat constructs which were catchy and would not let go off of you. Futuristic sounds which were not only produced for the dance floor but could also easily be used for the purpose of background music in documentaries.

Andreas Brunner used to work with the software sequencer FL Studio. There he was able to edit audio material in real time, and compose tracks with samples, synthesizers and external MIDI devices. Apart from that, he was capable of modifying audio files which he incorporated in his sound collages later on. Today, Brunner expresses his idea of electronic music mostly on Ableton but also Cubase.

When one could assume, &ME entered the House and Techno world somewhat out of the blue, it is due to his sublime modesty that’s already captured in his alias. His way to become one of today’s most praised and sought after DJ/producers is based on a solid foundation. A foundation comprised of solo-releases, remixes, projects and collaborations that numerous, we’d rather refer to his discography than weary you with namedropping. Besides, all those references would just distract from what truly matters – the music this guy is delivering. Not to underestimate the importance of a project such as Terranova for &ME’s current path, but still the alignment has been made – to focus consistently on his solo-work. And it shows.

There are not many artists around turning in such a slew of globally praised floormaterial like &ME did over the last years. Just think of his last offerings on Keinemusik, a collective of Berlin based DJs and producers, including Rampa, Adam Port, Reznik & artist Monja Gentschow, he helped founding in 2009, namely “After Dark” and “Woods” or his “Vermillion”-remix for Damian Lazarus – all serious bangers, played by every renowned DJ worldwide. Everything is falling into place for the fella. His DIY-approach to handle things, his easy going attitude, his reputation as a gifted producer and DJ extraordinaire, his ability to link innovative production with consensual reception, making him one of the most unique and original figures in the game.

MicroV3rsum, alias Benno Langer wurde 1979 in Annaberg-Buchholz in Deutschland geboren und dürfte als das Ü-Ei der Szene gelten. Wahrscheinlich schon inspiriert vom Herzschlag seiner Mutter, machte er bereits als Fötus erste Beat-Erfahrungen. Als kleiner Junge ständig auf Gegenständen herumtrommelnd, brachte er sich nach und nach, "learning by doing", das Schlagzeug und Bassgitarre spielen bei. Mit der Zeit wuchs auch das Interesse zur elektronischen Musik immer mehr, beeinflusst von Künstlern wie Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Westbam oder The Prodigy. Zufällig und über Nacht begegnete er Fruity Loops und eine neue Liebe war geboren. Der schwerste Ausbruch wurde letztlich durch Microtrauma verursacht, welche wohl auch bei der Namensgebung ihren Anteil tragen. Trotz der Liebe zum melodischen Techno, läßt sich MicroV3rsum in keine Schublade stecken. Genre-ungebunden und unkonventionell experimentiert er viel und gerne herum. Sein großes Vorbild ist Hans Zimmer. Mit seinem Engagement bei GlobalBeats FM vertiefte es sich im April 2013 weiter und das erste Set entstand, ganz ohne Syncs oder andere beliebte DJ-Tools. Er dachte sich, wenn schon ein Set machen, dann auch gleich in einer eigenen Sendung. Inzwischen bei Freund und Labelchef RiSo und seinem Label "RiSo Delic" eingestiegen, riefen beide im Sommer 2013 die Labelshow "Expect No Borders" auf GlobalBeats FM ins Leben. Mit einem gewissen Mut zum Risiko wurde gleich in der ersten Ausgabe auch das allererste DJ-Set von MicroV3rsum ausgestrahlt, welches durchweg positive Bewertung fand. Diverse Set-Anfragen wie z.B. von Aerogroove aus Tel Aviv bestätigen dies und man wird gespannt sein dürfen, wie die Geschichte weiter gehen wird...

He eventually brought a bass guitar and a drum kit – teaching himself to play. As he got older he became interested in electronic music like Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Westbam and The Prodigy. By chance he was introduced to Fruity Loops and a new love was born.
Despite his love of Melodic Techno, MicroV3rsum cannot be pigeonholed. With an unconventional style, he has experimented with lots of genres. His idol is the film composer Hans Zimmer. He played his first set for Global Beats FM in April 2013 without any sync or other DJ tools. And then later that summer, with his friend and ‘RiSo Delic’ label boss RiSo, he put together the show "Expect No Borders" again on Global Beats FM. The very first DJ set they broadcast was by MicroV3rsum gained lots of attention and praise from people such as Aerogroove from Tel Aviv. The story continues…
