I am a lonely lamb, a disenchanted man, mute because of the hex on my voice, song-singer
made sinewy, my speech all cracked, bent back speaking quickly with my fingers, punctuation
actuated upon my chest, I hold rot in my hand, where a new flower blooms, once in the
afternoon, it reeks of sorrow as it blossoms and fades and forms the moon, half crescent dead
petals given back to the earth, and from the soot and the soil comes a hurt, sharp and short but
deeply scarring, like love unwound and then bound by the sound of black holes in a kindness
that is cracking, stolen murmurs from a mouth rehearsed, borrowed faithful words are lacking
any sort of regret to hope, or could it be that we're all done mapping the lines upon which we
worship the most, they led us home in the night, calling us to cull the dulled senses from our
bones, unearthed from stone dissected in parts and studied for wants, anatomy of our mortal
coil, understanding of our foreign soul, sutures set in, fashioned from a languid thought, they
will keep my limbs together, I did them myself, I did myself in, happiness is sin

By now @SHALT's pretty much a @do-the-astral-plane legend, in our humble opinion. 

His early releases via the LA-founded label and platform, such as 2016's 'Acheron' or 'Inertia', set forth his musical mission statement (of sorts) as he unlocked new ways to manipulate sound design for a slew of club-centric environments. 

That's not to say he's a 'club-with-a-capital-c' producer who only caters to the rave, however. In fact, as evidenced on his 2018 full-length 'Seraphim' (an album debut for both him and the label) as well as on his forthcoming EP 'Ochre Flood', SHALT provides listeners with compelling music to glide through life to sans any club completely. Which is what we all want really, right? Soundtracks to our lives?

So be it functional, bass-heavy tunes built with scale, physicality and technological prowess (and totally destined for front left ravers) or earthier, textured and subdued genre-less tracks that appeal in those post-club contemplation moments, it's here at the meeting point between his concepts and interests that SHALT thrives. 'Ochre Flood', perhaps, the best example of this.
