Decoder for DifferentSound Podcast #261.

Decoder is a Dallas based music producer and DJ specializing in the realm of sci-fi & deep techno. His music is often filled with ambitious soundscapes, rolling sequences, and off kilter sound design.

Early in March 2021, Decoder saw his first release "The  Futurist" come to life on the Italian label "Antiterra". Following the EP came a consistent schedule of releases, including releases on labels such as Bomphcast, Srie Records, and his own imprint Codec Recordings. The year also saw the release of his first album, "Monolithic Activity Spectrum" on the Spanish label "Subsist". Decoder ended the year with his second album release "Dark Shape", which was put out on Jeff Mills' legendary imprint "Axis".

The first half of 2022 showed no signs of slowing down, as Decoder's "Moro Safa EP" was released on Amsterdam based label "Float Records". It also saw the third full length album titled "Plurality Module" released on Subsist. The  latter half of the year saw his first 12" vinyl release  "Singularity 2" released  on Dallas native label "Science Cult", as well as his follow up release on Float Records titled "Kanavugal".

These releases have also garnered Decoder support from many artists including the likes of Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Jeroen Search, TWR72, Yanamaste, to name a few. 

Decoder's touring schedule has also seen notable moments, including shows played for Infra (Boston), BCCO (Berlin), Cialo (Poland), Neighbourhood (London), among others.

Targeted to lead a busy mind into a Trance State, Transmuting Worry, Fear and Anxiety. Her sound Is Hypnotic, and Dynamic, holding the intention 2 Release Stagnant Energies and Open The Trauma Body.

Spiral Metamorphosis — Connecting dots and creating new cells in you body. Music that swirls into you and clears your mind. Ultimate flow state, which takes u from A to B. No matter the task, this will unwire self destructive patterns, help you to focus and listen to the wisdom of your body. Transportation, into highest version of you. The liberation and shapeshifting into something more evolved, upgraded.

Tras una vida entera entregada a la música, desde el género clásico, pasando por las músicas del mundo hasta la electrónica, Raquel Mendiguren AKA Mendi siempre ha perseguido nuevas tendencias y sonidos underground que le llevan a dar el salto como dj, por la necesidad de revelar su eco.

Dedicada al techno, ha tocado en muchas de las salas de la capital, teniendo residencia en el club Cabra Negra y actualmente en Elecktra Club, pasando por las sesiones de Synth Techno Club, XYZ entre otras, enfocadas al techno oscuro y contundente. Su afán, análisis y afición por la música le hacen tener como referentes diferentes sellos y artistas muy diversos en estilo. Inmersa en su recorrido, sus sets se caracterizan por un sonido de atmosferas oscuras, bases contundentes, disonancias y melodías hipnóticas. Siempre fiel a su selección y gusto musical, toca un abanico amplio entre los subgéneros del techno, consagrando, junto con la generación actual de la escena madrileña, un techno de oídos avanzados.

Mendi sigue creciendo y evolucionando en la escena sin dejar indiferente además de apoyar a colectivos y asociaciones que promueven la música electrónica como E.A.C (Electrónica es Arte y Cultura) y NIX (Foro cultural y social sobre la noche de Madrid)
